It is interesting, imagine what would happen if AFC wimbledon get promoted...

They'd be playing in League One...?

Yes where they'd play MK Dons next season if they don't get promoted or relegated this season (Assuming AFC Wimbledon go up)

I'm sure both sets of supporters are mature enough not to harbour animosity to such a degree that it would cause serious problems at matches. To give another example, if FC United were to play Manchester United - I wouldn't imagine there'd be any trouble at all. Most Man United fans understand and respect the reasons behind the formation of FC United and so it'd just be an overhyped but ultimately pretty normal game.

There's key difference of the relationship between FC United and Manchester United and the relationship between AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons. You're right about what you said about FC United and Manchester United. However AFC Wimbledon fans absolutely hate MK Dons and they were originally set up as a response of the original Wimbledon moving to Milton Keynes. There's a lot of conflict between the two clubs due to the fact both of them try to claim which is the "Real" continuation of Wimbledon FC. Many people hate MK Dons due to fact they've "franchised" instead of earning their place in League 1. I'm guessing FC United fans and Man United fans respect each other, However AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons Do not and I can see this fixture getting pretty serious for both sets of supporters.

Ah, thanks for the info - I had no idea of the hatred between the clubs! Let's hope the Thames Valley rozzers have a quiet day ;)

Me being one of those people. :p

In other news, why has no one mentioned that goal by Ibrahimovic? It was bloody brilliant!

The 4th best goal I've ever seen. :)

"You're just a shit Andy Carroll, a Shit Andy Carroll..." sang the England fans.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Didn't watch the match but I saw the goal, it was incredible! One of the best that I've seen. I also heard that Zaha played poorly, which is a shame to hear because he's been really good for Palace so far, but it shows he isn't ready yet for England and the Premier League, so I think he needs to stay at Palace.

he played poorly for all 9 mins he played...

Zlatan is an absolute legend. He's also one of the funniest footballers in terms of the stuff he says - he's not the most modest man to put it lightly.

When asked what he got his wife for her birthday – “”Nothing, she already has Zlatan.”

Also, my personal favourite...

A female reporter joked that Zlatan was gay due to a photo of him hugging Pique.
He replied – “Come to my house and you’ll see if I’m gay. And bring your sister.”

Zaha played poorly?

Brought on when England conceded the third, got given the ball 3/4 times?

Bugger off, maybe if he'd played for longer he might have shown off his ability, rather than impersonating a promising England youngster at a Premiership team...

I hope it doesn't affect him, cos he can do so much for England (or better, Ivory Coast)...

No it's not. Four points behind Arsenal and West Brom being fourth means it could be done. It won't be done, but it's possible.

Although I'm enjoying Everton fans at the moment, flapping because we won and Everton lost as if they can feel the natural order returning. They're even easier to wind up than usual.

That's so delusional, I'm not even going to bother with my somewhat clichéd mocking of Liverpool FC.

It's only Carragher saying it to be fair - it was probably an interview and he was asked the question. You're hardly going to expect him to say "we're definitely finishing midtable this season everyone, no chance of top four whatsoever." If Rodgers was saying it then it would look slightly worse, managers are usually a bit more vague than players, especially one club players.

Possible yes, but plausible? You seriously think that Liverpool have a decent chance of overtaking 7 teams above them and finishing 4th? I can't see you getting more points than 7 different teams to finish in the top four, especially if Suarez gets injured for a long time. Sorry but I reckon WBA are more likely to be playing in the CL than you are next season, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a "bitter" Evertonian. :p

Reports are coming in from reputable sources on Twitter that Roberto di Matteo has been sacked as Chelsea manager.

That is absolutely ridiculous. He's a great manager and the Russian Billionaire has sacked him because he lost just 2 games in a row?! Shameful, Chelsea really are a stupid club. ::)

It's stupid. He brought in two trophies - including the Champions League - yet he's been sacked after less than a year. Since Mourinho became manager in 2004, they've been through eight managers, including di Matteo. It's a ridiculous situation. Abramovich isn't giving them any chances at all. What the hell's he playing at?! Someone on Twitter earlier raised an interesting point about what would have happened if Abramovich had owned Manchester United back in the 1980s when Sir Alex Ferguson had taken over as manager, because he didn't get off to the best of starts, but managed to turn things around. Now, I'm no fan of Chelsea, but frankly, Abramovich is a complete moron for not giving di Matteo enough of a chance and being way too harsh.
