He however scored 3 and had 1 assist in 200 minutes of tournament football - better than any other player.

Me.
Spain played beautiful football today, and totally deserve their win. Jordi Alba was my man of the match, I don't think I've seen such an energetic full back in my life, wonderful talent and capped it off with a good goal, although in fairness all 11 Spanish players were brilliant tonight. Good game to end what has been a great month of football in a tournament

Every tournament has to end with a loser and the Euros are no exception so it is commiserations to the BBC (Panorama in particular) who didn't get the racism from Ukraine that they so badly craved.
Now, without a single hint of irony, they get to report live from outside a courtroom where a former England captain is up on a racism charge.

I would of placed a bet on the German's due to Merkel's constant backing and the new look German's learning from their World Cup mistakes, but does this mean that Italy will be in the 2013 Confederations Cup then?

Yes they will qualify as Spain already qualify as World Cup winners

Should be interesting Tahiti vs Spain!

After looking at the highlights of the final again, I've come to the conclusion that this Spain team has overtook the AC Milan team of around 10 years ago as the best football side I've ever witnessed. Truly amazing technique and play, and considering their average age is only 27 I certainly consider them very likely to retain their world cup as well.
Such a shame the English side is so poor, not to mention they god awful tactics Woy has them playing.

Barcelona are a better footballing side I think. More aggressive and exciting I think. But certainly, the best two sides for a very long time.
Spain 2008-now vs 70s Brazil would be amazing. While I still believe Barcelona are the greatest club side ever assembled, even if last season was a bad one.

Didn't Brazil score 19 goals at the 1970 WC? Compared to Spain's 8 in 2010? I still think 70s Brazil would beat the Spain of today, their attacking threat is probably the greatest ever - and Spain's weakest point is their defence.

Debates like this are why Fifa needs to have playable classic teams like the ones on PS1 did.
I'd say I prefer Spain to Barca, I mean yeah Barca has Messi, but then Spain has Fernando Tor... Yeah, Barca are probably better.

Stelios said:Barca vs. Spain would be quite even if Barca played their 4-5-1 as the 5 midfielders could hold out 6 midfielders. For Messi, Mashcerano and many of Spain's best players, I'd have to say Barca would rip Spain apart 3-0. Listen to Adz, EA!
But then Spain have got Silva, Ramos, the best goalkeeper in the world and Xabi Alonso.

Casillas is over rated. Can't handle one on ones (see Switzerland in the last world cup for example). He's boss, but I wouldn't say the best.
Barca vs Spain wouldn't work, half the players would be playing for both teams.![]()
I disagree.
In all seriousness though, Real Madrid 1960's would probably thrash both the Spain and Barca teams of today.

He won't see out the 3 years he signed for, he will get Spurs 5th place and the board still have faith for the Portugese players to pull through for them after not bonding well with the Prem All-Stars that is Spurs and be sacked by January 2014.
Or am I being too negative?

Not quite sure how he could be sacked for incompetence in this league and then be reappointed within the year. He was utterly useless for us, continued to play tactics that caused us to lose game on game and refused to change his philosophy. Hopefully he does the same to the detriment of Spurs.
