Although it was merely a formality Hamilton has signed with Mercedes
http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/09/28/h ... -mercedes/
Questions that leaves:
Who is replacing Perez at Sauber?
Is MSC retiring or is he going to further tarnish his name at an even lower team?
Will Ferrari stick with the hapless Massa for another year of failure?

There are rumours that Schumacher could be moving to Sauber, which could be interesting, as a driver or possibly a management role. Force India's drivers are under contract for 2013, but they could be allowed to leave.

What exactly are you basing that on? Each of their teammates outperforms them every week more or less.
The fact that Kobayashi is the best racing driver ever, and karthekain is just waiting for the opportunity to win the championship after all his bad luck.

If this is for real then, wow. If it's a joke I'm missing something as I don't get it.
I do like Kobayashi though, he's insane.

Schumacher will surely retire, Mercedes gave him the best chance probably of any of the smaller teams to do well and he made mistake after mistake and generally let them down. He will try to save face and maintain dignity and give it up now.

I realise not everyone follows him or F1 with the intensity that I do, but he has had five of seven retirements this year due to mechanical failures - most notably a wheel falling off after an unsafe pit-stop release...but he had already held everyone up enough in second place to allow Nico to win at that point.
In fact it is the team that the car and the team that have failed him more often than not, and his form has been better than Rosberg's for the majority of the season in qualifying and in races where they have both finished the race.
I wouldn't like to make a prediction of what will happen to him now, but I hope that there is a return to the podium in at least one of the remaining races.
As for Mercedes now, next year will be a further year of struggle, which I'm not sure Lewis will have the patience to endure. In 2014, they will be a strong team with the new engines, but with them slowing the cars down by about five seconds a lap I will probably retire from my interest in the sport myself!

I never understood this, Vettel is a driver who likes setting the fastest lap in the race, and as you can tell from the constant messages from the pit lane, Vettel is not driving "slow and steady" to win the race even when miles out, but as fast as he can to get that PB.
I think Webber will be very upset with the Race Marshalls, who took nearly 10 laps to clear the car from the DRS zone, allowing Vettel to build up a nice gap.
I felt sorry for Button today, wrong place, wrong time, but it was great to see Massa have such a strong drive, If I had been in Ferrari's shoes I might of let Massa past to put some pressure on Webber, who might have used his tyres up quicker, allowing Alsono to get past, and then Massa could of let him past for 2nd. Worst case Scenario, Massa can not get past Webber, and just lets Alsono past again before the end of the race.
A enjoyable race, and with only 4 races left now, I think its a two way race between Vettel and Alsono, and unless Ferrari can step it up a little bit, I think it is looking very good for Vettel.
