Re: Holiday Park - New 2014 - Launch coaster Premier Rides
Wow, a major new coaster isn't the only new thing at Holiday Park next year!
In other news, the Anubis drop-tower is being worked on and all of its sides will be operating again next season.
Exciting times for this little park!

Screamscape said:2014 - New Coaster / Vickie The Viking Land - (12/4/13) Holiday Park reports that they will re-theme the area from the fishing village to the devil barrels into a “Wickie” land, as well as giving a Wickie the Viking theme to the park’s log flume for 2014.

Vicky country
The first decorative elements and paint work can be seen at the main building.
At the site of the former Devil snack created to season start in 2014, a brand new Wickie grill.
The entrance to the flume is installed in the topic.
Thrill Coaster
A portion of the site area was leveled and bulldozed.
The corkscrew of the super vortex and the Lincoln stretch limousine can be integrated as decorative elements in the new center.

Exciting times for this little park!

Well fingers crossed they'll sort out Devil's station. When I visited earlier this year half of it was hidden from sight by a high fence put next to the queueline. Such a shame it hasn't been worked on sooner, becase as far as flumes go I'd say it's one of the better ones!
It was clear in May where Plopsa had invested and where they hadn't yet. That, plus the Vicky area we've seen at De Panne certainly gives me high hopes for this! If you ask me there were 3 main areas which needed attention at the park:
1) The area and surrounding for Autofahrt. It felt very cheap and worn out.
2) The area and rides where Devils Barrels reside.
3) Donner Fluss
The next entrance area was very charming and picturesque, especially for a small park. For as long as Plopsa continues its investment in the park to the standards already seen the only way is up (Baaaby) for Holiday Park I'd say
Might have to pay them another visit next year. The coaster was already pretty appealing, and now the news of a retheme for one of the weaker areas has me sold

The coaster will be slightly-disappointingly be called 'Sky Scream'.

Awwwww, that's actually made me really sad. Sure it was just a Vekoma Corkscrew, but it was Germany's first ever inversions, and it seemed so well kept from what I hear from others. RIP Super Gerbil :'(

That leaves just 4 Vekoma Corkscrew coasters left in the world - one in France, one in Brazil and two in Canada. I'd always thought there were a lot more of them out there, probably because I'd been on 3 different ones. There are still quite a lot of the Arrow corkscrews left, but they don't look anywhere near as good, not that the Vekoma layout is anything particularly special anyway.
That said, as off-the-shelf vekoma coasters go the Corkscrew seemed one of the better models. They're far more substantial than both the Whirlwind and Tornado, and in order to fit the loop into the Hurricane model they had to removed the best features of the Corkscrew rides. A good example of a Double Loop Corkscrew beats the Corkscrew with Bayerncurve, but as Python at Efteling proves a bad one is far less interesting.

Just a slither of information I have here.
The ride's official 'working title' is Sky Scream, but the theme isn't "Superheroes".
The theme of the ride is currently Vampires / Zombies. Although Plopsa are well known for changing their minds.
I can also confirm the new name of the log flume. "Wickie Splash"

Here's a small release from the park regarding the new coaster.
I apologise for the translation. Blame Google.
The park are also holding a PR Event on the 11th of Feb (Which I was invited to, but cannot make), so expect more media and images to surface shortly after.
In the coming season is looking forward to the Holiday Park to present a European first: "Sky Scream" - forward and backward acceleration catapult the web with up to 100 km / h through the loops . As of spring 2014, the new roller coaster to go into operation . Are discussed the new attraction and the corresponding subject area by the creepy world of zombies and vampires.
