Helix just looks absolutely stunning. How I wish I could get to Liseberg to experience it. I'm sure it will look beautiful and will blend in seamlessly once all of the foliage and greenery grows in again. Also, as others have said, I wish Alton had taken head of what is the proper way to disguise a massive concrete slab.
I know you can't really get a true feeling of a coaster from a POV but wow. Looks like they have let it run in a bit before filming the POV as it looks a lot faster than a lot of coasters at testing stage, if not I'd love to see it at full speed. Get me to Sweden now!
I think it's safe to say that the proverbial bar has now been raised to such an insane hight that anyone attempting to go further will beed a pressure suit and oxygen tanks.
Intamin may as well close down, I can't see why any sane park would buy from them now.
Especially given how Alpina Blitz is tonnes better than Piraten...
Think I'll defo go out on a limb and reckon it'll be the best coaster in Europe... Airtime, inversions, epic rolling launches... July needs to hurry up and be in my life...
They've also posted a quick video with the CEO, Andreas Andersen, where he talks about how the ride opening is going to be "bloody exciting". He's also realistic, saying he thinks it's great but visitors have actually ridden it yet! It's in Swedish so make sure you turn on captions for English subtitles. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ty32Iv6VUsI
