Liseberg: General Discussion

The latest webcam image shows people sitting in the train on the brake run, so people either have ridden it or are about to ride it!

;D

Helix just looks absolutely stunning. How I wish I could get to Liseberg to experience it. I'm sure it will look beautiful and will blend in seamlessly once all of the foliage and greenery grows in again. Also, as others have said, I wish Alton had taken head of what is the proper way to disguise a massive concrete slab. :p

The second train is being put on the track today.

We should get a POV imminently. There is one but it is not yet public. Hopefully it will be online by the end of the week.

:)

Why's there a gap in the train lighting between the first carriage and the third? Looks good otherwise though.

I know you can't really get a true feeling of a coaster from a POV but wow. Looks like they have let it run in a bit before filming the POV as it looks a lot faster than a lot of coasters at testing stage, if not I'd love to see it at full speed. Get me to Sweden now!

Station queue. Looks like a very modern art museum.

More station queue. Very angular!

I think it's safe to say that the proverbial bar has now been raised to such an insane hight that anyone attempting to go further will beed a pressure suit and oxygen tanks.

Intamin may as well close down, I can't see why any sane park would buy from them now.

Especially given how Alpina Blitz is tonnes better than Piraten...

Think I'll defo go out on a limb and reckon it'll be the best coaster in Europe... Airtime, inversions, epic rolling launches... July needs to hurry up and be in my life...

Holy crap wow it looks amazing!! It just does not stop from start to finish and the pacing looks spot on. I have to ride this later in the year!

:)

Liseberg have posted a night POV that is considerably faster than the previous one. By about 5 seconds!

They've also posted a quick video with the CEO, Andreas Andersen, where he talks about how the ride opening is going to be "bloody exciting". He's also realistic, saying he thinks it's great but visitors have actually ridden it yet! It's in Swedish so make sure you turn on captions for English subtitles.

Its nothing short of perfect... By the looks of the pov.

Seriously considering the long journey to get on this!
