Can confirm. I wore shorts on the opening day... this proved to be a mistake. Also, queueing for Sub-terra.In all seriousness, I do recall if you were wearing shorts it wasn't the most pleasant of experiences.
Terry has to be my favourite right nowJust doesn't work compared to Terry.

This is wonderful and all, but before this turns into another flogging of a dead horse - let's stick to actual discussion of the ride rather than multiple pages of daft nicknames![]()
Well said Craigyboo
It think it because it has been talked about so often that it became a sort of enthusiast folk tale. Its been building up in peoples minds for years. It is quite funny to see a lot of young vloggers getting so hyped about the return of Sub Terra as none of them have been on it before.
Obviously, delighted it's back but it's bloody Sub Terra.
Its also hope that is driving their enthusiasm. Hope that it will be better than before.

Any hat preferences? It won't ever reopen. Would happily eat my hat though if it did.
The queue line videos were cool, until you'd been stood for 50 minutes and they'd looped approximately 5000 times. Can confirm. I wore shorts on the opening day... this proved to be a mistake. Also, queueing for Sub-terra.
I’m looking forward to riding it when I visit next on 15th June. The ride opened the year I moved from Uttoxeter to Devon and I never got to the park for several years since making the move, but I’ve recently made a conscious effort to visit at least 3 times a year.
What was the theming like originally on the inside? I’ve only ever seen it from the outside and the corrugated units always led me to think it was minimal inside.

The pre-show room was mostly un-themed.
The rest of the inside theming was pretty good for everything from the first lifts, pre-drop area and the drop tower area to the second lifts.
The exit corridor was fine but themed to the quality of a scare maze so mostly dependant on low lighting and strobes.

Never rode it when it was open before (my first visit to Towers was October 2015 so it was already closed) so I’m looking forward to experiencing it for the first time!
I wonder if the revival of this ride (despite probably already having been planned to reopen to coincide with the Nemesis closure) is a test to see if guests are excited to see old rides return, to possibly revive some old flats and bring in new models?
