Go going back to the metal with 'High' written on it, it also look like there is the top of a V and a O next to it and the top of a C under it.

So I would guess it a metal plate that is protecting a HV cable running along that section of site, and the sign may say

"High Voltage
Cable Below"

Very well deduced Delta!! It'd make sense, looking at the other images with various cables strewn all over.

That track from the Gerst factory looks very.. twisted. Very... inverted. Anyone seen the plans for other Gerst coasters and can compare to SW7? Otherwise, I'd say we're onto a winner - track should be due around now!

It could be SW7 track, but some bits of the track look a bit too blue when compared to the track colour for SW7.

Lovely... I would genuinely say that has got to be ours!!!

I know what you mean colour wise Jon, but, lets not forget, some parts of 13 looked brown during construction in certain lights! :p

That's true, yes. The colour may be different to what was on the plans, but it may get repainted into SW7 colours. Plus it does look like it could well be for us. :D

Irritating that it's all still lying in some builder's yard in Germany - will still be ages before it makes it's way across to here. Half of the journey will just be navigating with a giant lorry along the B roads in Alton!

This picture could well be months old... I'm pretty sure most, if not all the track will be completed by now and ready to ship out when Alton are ready.

EDIT: sorry complelty misread your post, not quite sure what I'm driving at here ;)

It was probably finished months ago if they were planning to start putting it in at the start of this month!

Track is set to arrive ( so i've been informed ) around the beginning of October. I think by 14th of next month we will see some track on site. That photo could well be the track, but as said above, i would of thought the track would be all finished by now and probably sat around in Gerstlauer's factory yard awaiting shipment when Alton give them the all clear. I was originally told we would see track in September, however due to work been a little behind it was put back 1 month

I am looking forward to seeing the track arrive on site - Should not be all that long now!

With regards to these logos appearing around the park, I certainly hope they are painted with Glow in the Dark paint - With Scarefest, and late park close, they would look immense!

It's great to finally see some solid movement on things after a few weeks of watching nothing but a hole getting bigger :D. By the looks of how things are going, we'll be looking at actual track arriving in a little over a week with a very short window to see vertical construction over Scarefest and Fireworks. I'm a little disappointed we haven't seen more of a push with marketing whilst the park is open, but I hope this'll go into overdrive over the course of Scarefest and The Sanctuary being open.

As we seem to be seeing changes over a daily basis now, I might as well chuck a quick plug in here! We normally have someone from the team or one of our regular photographers onsite pretty much on a daily basis now. However, if anyone has any photos they would like to contribute to the site (no matter how big or small they are!), please feel free to mail them to team[[at]]towersstreet.com. Check out the "Your Contributions to TowersStreet" section on the legal stuff page before sending and make sure you state that you agree to us publishing the images on TowersStreet.

I would be on park much, much more if it wasn't for the shocking weather. I hope to go up sometime this weekend and possibly next weekend too.

It sounds like more of these "face logo" things have appeared today in one of the monorail stations at least. Maybe they will keep adding a few every day until they really start taking over and becoming really noticeable? I hope that is what happens as I really do like that idea; the Ministry of Joy keep leaving there mark. Exciting!

:)

Until the entire park is covered completely? :p

Although I think they look good and it's a good way to stir up conversation and get people noticing that something is going on, I can't help but feel that if they're linked with SW7 that they don't really fit in with X-Sector. X-Sector is quite an emotionless place and (used to be) very clean and edgy. This feels more like something the Joker created at Arkham Asylum. :p

Will the new managers do anything to help Oblivion not look abandoned? :p

I've just realised that of course this whole graffiti'd faces thing is EXACTLY like the LC12 posters at Thorpe; keeping up the pretence that it's not the park itself doing these things but rather some kind of other group 'taking over' in this case! Brilliant :D Looking forward to see what they have in the way of promotional actors! (Though in a way, of course, The Sanctuary will be full of those!)

I've heard a good rumour that Oblivion might receive a lick of paint over closed season. :)

That would really be excellent, although the whole area needs pressure-washing and the outside of Oblivion's station needs attention asap before the coverings fall off completely and leave the wooden structure in the open. Not good for an iconic ride with a theme that stands for the complete opposite of its current state. And with SW7 opening next year, all eyes will be on X-Sector.
