I personally reckon if this is true, and they are going to stick with the described element, they will need two of them. One before the main ride circuit, another after the main ride circuit. At least then it wouldn't be as nauseating.
How about one car parked upside down over another car and having the two invert around each other? :p

If this was facebook i would have to 'like' this

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

If this is true, then it's the most gimmicky thing I've ever heard. Really the least inventive thing from AT in a while. I'll happily take Thirteen's free-fall over this. It's pathetic. And nauseating.

That is, saying this is all true.

I'm right to believe as well, that right of the start of the discussion, that glass walls were mentioned as a possibility.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

Well I recommended they didn't reveal it but they have anyway.

Just to note this all started yesterday when someone (the same person who spotted the interior plans of Sub-Terra) posted on TTF that they had information. The original source said 14 Inversions but didn't know how. The Trick Track has come from another source. Together they fit so it's likely this is legit.

We'll see how Alton reacts.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

Im confused, just how does a shipping container have a glass floor?

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

This is just a way for Towers to stick their tongues out and say nobody can have the inversion record anymore, because no matter how hard any other park tries, Towers can just turn their track that one extra time.

Roll on opening day!

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

I believe the fundamental design concept of this ride is synchronisation, we can see from the plans one train will semi-duel with another due to the layout. I'd imagine anything going on side semi-echoing another train's movement.

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

My money is still on this being the world's first coaster based on Hypno-Disc.

And to be fair to him, he has been pretty spot on before!

My point entirely. Although I cant help but thinking that 7 or more rotations like this will be to extreme

And er Nick, no offence like but what else did you really expect from a trick track element? Most if not all of us could have guessed this

My only gripe with this is if it is at the beginning of the ride. Other than that I am pretty happy.

From Merlins point of view it all pans out - they regain a world record and have the ability to remarket the ride if they loose the record by adjusting the trick track! I really cannot see how AT are getting slated by people in here for this? Its a potentially very thrilling element which if backed up with the right lighting and themeing could be awesome and fit right in with the hypnosis theme. We also have a solid coaster to go with it (unless plans have changed somewhat)

And I am still thinking as more of this MOJ stuff comes out, whats the Spider gotta do with it all? I

Re: Secret Weapon 7 Discussion (Currently contains potential spoilers!)

Doesn't sound all that great to be honest. Can't wait to hear what Towers management have to say about the potential leak!

Just a quick heads up to those in-topic with all of the excitement....

We now have tags, so please try to use them if you're talking specifically about something that could seriously ruin someone elses surprise enjoyment of the ride.

... thanks :D

BTW you guys missed an amazing rant by me last night about how trying to break the inversion record was a lame idea. I kind of guessed what the secret information was there and then because of spin_doctor's (the first source) reply :p ::)

A gimmick.

It is clear that the inclusion of lap-bars will completely make or break this ride. Another thing, I wonder if the rotations will be one way or two. If there's going to be the duelling aspect that's suggested by Al (and possibly in the logo), then turning one way, then quickly the other (as the other car is coming closer) would enhance the experience. If it's 14 inversions, then that'll mean three for each car going one way. Also, will this not mean that the throughput will increase with an extra two cars, possibly, on the track?

At least they might be able to market this as the world's most upside down roller coaster (if this is all correct). I guess that would grab the attention of your average guest. :/

Does that need a spoiler thingy? Either way, glad to see the function back! :D

Am i the only one who thinks its a great idea if pulled of correctly. If done 13 style it could be poor admitedly

See now what you have put above is exactly what I can see happening. That would be a great experience back up by a quality coaster layout - should put AT on the map again. They really cant afford to blow this as its getting better with each snippet of info that comes out

It would be IF done correctly. With lap-bars, some effects, duelling and the inversions at the right speed, this COULD be good. Wether it'll bring in the crowds that Nemesis brought in, almost certainly no, but should bring in a few more people.
