Fed up to the point of destruction that hard work and passion count for nothing, even when realistically there should be three or four people in my role, and not just me. I've no idea what's going to happen to me job-wise come 5th November, and management don't appear to care in the slightest.

If I can't get any kind of job security in the sector within which I want to work, then I've really no idea what to do.

The leisure sector is notorious for a lack of job security.

There never seems to be enough permanent/well paid positions...

Well, I now have some cereal (rice krispies which are vile) in the house, but have to eat it with milk perilously close to its use by date...

This has been going on for rather a long time now. Seriously, you cannot live on pick me ups and kind words from strangers. If your situation is half as bad as you say it is then you really need to find some real world solutions.

I’ve seen people on here give you some good advice before and I strongly suggest that you take it.

If you genuinely feel down about having cereal and perfectly fresh milk to hand, you need to get out more.

I am, I have had to make the decision to use my MAP fund on going shopping, buying stuff like carrots chicken and decent food, but it was only enough for a weeks worth...( my MAP fund was about £45 only another £60 till I got 1...-I think-) Plus the milk tasted like cheese!

A shopping bill of £45 to feed yourself should last you for weeks. I regularly live off £10-15 a week in grocery shopping.

I know it's trivial in comparison to alot of things getting people down in this topic, but combined with my depression, the following has really been pushing me over into stress and anxiety.

I've been trying to organise a local People's Assembly Against Austerity bringing people from all backgrounds; from different political parties, from anti-cuts movements, unions, etc. together to organise demonstrations and puncture the local media's almost exclusive pro-austerity position.

But instead, with the exception of PCS, Unions ignore us completely, the local Labour party has tried intimidating members into not joining us and have expressly told us not to mention them in any media (which I will ignore since we have support from one Labour Councillor and two other members), whilst the Trade Union and Socialist Coalition claims it wants to be involved but refuses to do anything constructive, instead they prefer to constantly throw abuse at Green Party members for not sharing the same tactical approach as their party in a very Judean People's Front-esque manner, and to top it all off one journalist from a local paper lead us to believe they'd print a story about a protest I organised, but they went back on it leaving us with little opportunity for coverage.

It's a big mess.

Look I'm not going to argue about your situation, It really doesn't affect me, all I ask is that if you really want to post daily updates on your hardships please do it in a seperate thread that I can easily ignore and stop hogging this one. It's getting very tedious.

Just to butt in also but aren't you under the age of 16? Surely if situations are this dire then social services should be contacted.

I'm down but truth be told I more or less feel angry.

I've lost both my Freedom Pass (what I use travel around with) And my Merlin annual pass. Plus my Laptop isn't working properly.

Plus I've had a crap week as well. Never felt more frustrated in my entire life. FML.

I'm sat in A&E with what can only be described as a rather saw ass, after falling 6ft over a wall while slightly drunk.

I'm sure you will understand, and not take it personally, if I point and laugh at your stupidity. ;)

I'm feeling rather irritated by having to get up at 04:30 to go to work... after not getting so much as a wink of sleep due to my stupid nocturnal body clock.

I feel like I'm treading water, using energy struggling but not actually get anywhere with quite a few aspects of my life. I'm trying so hard, but seem to go nowhere, I just want a bit of luck on my side as I'm getting tired of fighting for everything in my life.

Oh dear Russ, and i bet the waiting room seats in RSH A&E did not help the sore bum any ;)

Nat, I know that feeling. however remember thing can and will change for the better.

Vicki, Loosing someone so close cuts deep into the heart. It will take time for it to heal then the scar will ache from time to time. My thoughts are with you during this sad time.

Alex, try to remember the happy time you had with the people you miss. they would not want you to be sad.

I ended my relationship last night. I feel much better about everything, but obviously quite down, too.

I still love this person so much, but what I can't do is the whole long distance thing. I stupidly got involved with this guy back in July, knowing full well he'd soon be living on the other side of the world. Two years is a long time to wait for someone...especially when there's a chance of seeing each other only twice each year.

"Distance makes the heart grow fonder" - yes, and that's what hurts the most. This whole thing has just been emotionally exhausting for me, and has caused such loneliness and sadness. It's honestly not worth it, and TBH, I'd rather have my life back.

I'm sorry you had to go through with that James, I know just how hard it can be and I commend you for making such a tough decision. You'll be ok :)

Aww, thanks Josh. I really haven't had much success with men and relationships lately. I feel gutted tonight, but know it was the right decision to make...
