Good. This is how the whole thing should've been done in the first place. You assign a high value to a single visit, rather than giving away an annual pass at way too low of a price in comparison to the benefits it gave to passholders. When many end up visiting a ridiculous number of times, the VIP pass cost attractions/Merlin far more than originally intended. These experiences clearly set out what those who buy it get and it's a one off per purchase.
That said, this isn't anything new - more just a revival of something that was available years ago. I'm not sure about Legoland but this sort of thing was around at Towers about 6 years ago shortly after the VIP pass was introduced at around £200 a pop.

I think so but it's a brand new tab on the page apparently.Isn't Year of Awesome just Legoland's tagline to their special events?

I don't expect MAPs to be scrapped but I do expect RTP's to no longer be included, maybe a £10 extra fee. They're really pushing the single park APs. At this rate it wouldn't surprise me if they scrapped the MAP alltogether by this time next year.
So basically a Midways pass.

Blimey! £295 to be a VIP for the day?!
At least they throw in a meal at Pizza Pasta!
Do you get a VIP lanyard? ;-)

No but you do literally get a member of staff who escorts you onto a ride and they will hold the gates to board you.Blimey! £295 to be a VIP for the day?!

I had a chat with the VIP host on SWARM who was with two guests and it's basically VIP host walks up to ride host, tells them which bays to close off and it's passed to op.

Alton stopped selling their VIP packages quite a while ago now, but was previously there.
However, back to the possibility of annual VIP passes for each park. This resolves a few of the problems that I pointed out in my first reply about the VIP MAP being discontinued - each attraction would clearly set out their own benefits. They'd also receive the income from the pass, rather than it being diluted throughout multiple attractions or even barely reaching them at all.
Considering an individual day visit is just shy of £295, knock off say £80 for the member of staff for the day and that a VIP pass would likely be fastrack rather than front of line as a result, you're probably looking at probably £4-500 plus for a VIP pass if it went ahead?
In terms of MAPs, I highly doubt they would disappear altogether for RTPs. As discussed before the cost to provide the benefits of those passes in comparison to VIP MAP is considerably lower.

£500 seems about right, a THORPE season fastrack is £400 then £87 for the premium season pass on top.Alton stopped selling their VIP packages quite a while ago now, but was previously there.

I expect towers to be more expensive, maybe £550-£600?

Wouldn’t expect Towers to cost any more, isn’t there less fastrack rides at Towers compared to Thorpe?£500 seems about right, a THORPE season fastrack is £400 then £87 for the premium season pass on top.

If any park was to be more expensive it would be the cash cow that’s Legoland

If every RTP went ahead with this, the thing to remember is that potentially each individual theme park can determine what benefits they would provide on any sort of VIP pass. Thorpe could throw everything at their pass as the vast majority of their customer base is young and on the whole spend much less so would be less likely to purchase a very expensive product.
Elsewhere at Legoland, I'd expect either a considerably higher price, or fewer features - likewise at Alton as you're far more likely to get families willing to spend a lot more and buy such a product.
Of course you could just see Alton Towers not bothering with a VIP product whatsoever, after all they don't currently offer VIP experiences...

If you experienced Thorpe in the height of August on a hot day (or Fright Nights), £295 to skip every queue and be even more obnoxious to people stuck in the cattle pens is worth every dam penny lol
