Who thinks that a permanent Flat Ride will open in The World Of David Williams on The Flavio’s Fabulous Fandango plot? Half of my brain informs me this could be happening.

It's a shame because the Smash n Jump was probably the best placed ride out of the lot in my opinion. It made X Sector feel bigger and the whole area around it more vibrant. It was also the only one of the lot that used an existing pre built queue line. Very sad that this site will probably sit empty once more.

Looking at images of Funk'n'Fly online this morning - is the version currently installed different to the previous one? This one is purple and the other was a lighter colour was it not? Maybe it's just me though aha

Im 90% sure they are the different ones as seen in these images first one is 2022 and the second one is 2021

Yes, out of all the 3 Retrosquad sites, X Sector is probably the area that mostly needs a flat due to the exposed submission foundations and shoddy concrete work they did to flatten the area after removing the submission garden. Heck, stick funk n fly there and roller disco in forbidden valley if needs be because in Dark Forest’s current layout, a flat in that bottom area is so cut off and I’d be happy to sacrifice it for the sake of more vibrant areas of the park.

Can’t quite believe I’m talking about shoving a Waltzer in Forbidden Valley in our country’s leading theme park, but it’s where we are I guess.

Yes they are different ones. This one’s come direct from the manufacturer apparently. As the other one is back touring the fairs now. You’ll notice the opp cabin is a different size.

If it’s come direct from the manufacture is there a possibility towers could buy this one?

Also in terms of operating this year, again if it’s direct from the manufacture wouldn’t it be easier to just train towers staff?

I mean they could buy it, but would expect if they were gonna do that then they would have just done that already. Not sure who will be operating it, but I believe the Mellors are involved, so they’ll probably be supplying an operator for it.

yeah they have a lot of things going on at the moment. I believe they are almost the middle man between towers and the showman who own/run the rides.

I think if Alton Towers had brought Funk and fly it wouldn’t have had the lighting package on it and it would have been themed to fit the area.

Here’s still hoping for something…anything…to replace Mixtape in X Sector. If only two Retrosquad rides are returning, it would’ve been far better to leave The Dark Forest site empty instead because it’s so tucked out the way. This is what Mixtape’s site looked like when it was removed. Submission’s foundations on show and it looks a right mess. Would be frankly embarrassing if it still looks like this come Saturday! Does anyone know if they’ve done any work to tart the area up?

I’d hope they could get a machine in there quickly as it wouldn’t take long to build one up. It may arrive later in the season though if they want to stick all the vinyls on it.

I agree though it doesn’t really make any sense as it’s already got a permanent que attached.

A lot of people replying to the Twitter post are suggesting that it may be Wilmott's Air Raid, which is a Tivoli Extreme.

According to this site, Extremes are 1.3 metres.
