The guy on the left is wearing what they normally have under the big black jacket, or body fleece. The two woman have the summer style uniform on.

Haha! One day I'll go and ride this only to find the staff skanking away in their dr martins to some crazy ska beat.
Most third wave ska is also insanely happy and upbeat and crazy, quite befitting really. Well, um, maybe not, I just love the ska genre. :twirly:
Regardless, that uniform is an abomination.

I dont think it is really.... especially when you consider how sinister and dark Oblivion was and the modern, X-Sector black uniforms the staff wore. These smiler uniforms make the staff look more like circus clowns

The uniform is actually growing on me now... Also the guy on the left has an AMAZING Laugh he does at guests! Very 'scare mazey'.
I have a few photos of the track from today I'll upload and post in the next few minutes

Dislike the uniforms, but that's because I dislike the theme. This doesn't fit well with Alton Towers for me.
Nice to see the ride almost complete though, and the area coming together. Won't be too long until we see the finished product now.

As previously said, Here's a photo update of today.
Featuring the penultimate track piece, builders, brake fins and something I'm unsure of!
Here we go:
You can see that the brake fins were detracted today, first time I've actually seen them disappear!
A nice shot of the track, Ridiculously imposing! They also have some fences around the supports closest to the toilet block to stop people climbing up to the track!
#CreepyStation
This builder kept pointing at things and then walked inside.
Fitting motors, They do spin as the builder kept spinning them around! Trippy >.<
Fitting the penultimate track piece!
Close up! It fits together perfectly
Spring cleaning on Sub Terra! Nice to see they're keeping it fresh!
All fitted and finished! Last piece is up tomorrow!
I just love this image!
If anyone can let me know what this is, I'd be very interested to know! Lifting this up right at the Park Close!
Thanks for looking!
I'll be back on park tomorrow to get some piccys of the final piece being installed!
Enjoy

Incase you have missed it (because Facebook photo uploader is crap), I have uploaded over 50 photos to the Smiler album on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/towersstreet), here are a select few (PHOTO HEAVY!):
Overview
One piece remaining!
Stairs
Lifthill work
Painting
Hypnotiser
Painted station
Rocks being delivered
A close look at the final park of the ride
Steps
First lift hill
Detailing on the marmaliser
Scafolding being added to one of the supports (no idea why)
Fire exit/Staff door/Ride exit?
Shop/ride sign?

Are you sure they are down? You can't tell from that angle...and in this photo which was uploaded to TowersStreet facebook today shows they are still up:
Have you got a better angle of the vertical lift from today?
Where did it drop these off or did you leave before it had placed them down?

Unfortunately no photo's from another angle, We went on Oblivion straight after, but I assure you at 10:15AM they were sitting tightly within the track.
Just below the base of where the final track will be in place. I assume it's simply some kind of addition to the track, but I considered it worth mentioning.

I think we need to give them a bit more credit now. I mean really I have been one of the chief critics of this theme, but I can't really question how they are doing it.
You have to accept a budget at some point and let's be fair, a not great games stall is not exactly equatable to an air tunnel for example.
Regardless of theme preference differences, I think we do have to really give credit for what they are achieving here for £18m.
A crazy themed world record breaking coaster, for 18m, with Towers restrictions.
That takes some doing right there does that.
Not arsed about the games stall.
