Thorpe Park: General Discussion

The other day, they kept coasters open until 6:30 to compensate, but unless you're in the queue for a ride and it goes down, they do nothing.

That's not entirely true. If your day has been severely impacted by downtime, they'll help you out.

I going to be completely honest, I don't think I've ever come across a park with so much ride down time. I completely understand that rides break down, but it seem to be ridiculous at Thorpe. To have that many rides down at once is crazy!

A couple of weeks ago we had the half hour extra opening plus free return tickets to the park. This was due to the downtime we experienced.
 
Is ghost train closed all the time for technical issues? From what I've seen, it looks like they're just opening it late every day. I don't know why they'd do it (cost cutting?), but it's been opening at around the same time every day. It's also been closing early. The queue closed at 4:30 the other day, despite the fact the queue was still moving, maybe because they just wanted to clear the 100 minute queue and go home on time?

I'm not sure where you have heard this but that is the biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard! They would not shut 3 headline rides for refurbishment all at once!
 
Why can't they close Rita swap the broken part on Stealth with the unbroken part on Rita (assuming the part is interchangeable nut it probably won't be) and get the better of the 2 rides working.
