- It is a breach of the injunction for anyone to walk into any of Merlin's hotels without permission. Prebooking? What's the definition?).

Thorpe Park: General Discussion

I honestly do not see the point of paying to enter a theme park in order to do something that will so obviously get you chucked out and banned like the afore mentioned lads (won't name them) did at Thorpe with Stealth.

Which is why they don't pay when they enter.I honestly do not see the point of paying to enter a theme park in order to do something that will so obviously get you chucked out and banned like the afore mentioned lads (won't name them) did at Thorpe with Stealth.

These particular lads climbed Stealth during park opening hours. They filmed it and stuck it on You Tube and there are guests about.
If you're talking about Ally Law I'm fairly sure he did it after hours (it was in July 2017 so the park was closing at 6). Plus he got a CBO for the Big Brother thing and will likely receive a lengthy jail sentence come March 2019.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer chap.

I don't have a problem with people "urbexing" abandoned places like Camelot, or historic sites. They can be genuinely interesting to see. Provided, of course, they don't damage anything. It's different when it's still an active place of business though.
I once saw a vid from some guys who managed to enter the Box Hill quarry in an attempt to find an entrance to the "Turnstyle" government bunker. They didn't, but they did find a lot of very interesting equipment and supplies. Obviously this was exceptionally dangerous and therefore stupid. But as a cold war geek it was fascinating to watch.

Did not know about this order, so thanks for that.
I'm not legal expert, but I must conclude that either:

The Merlin website seems to suggest that any trespasser would be in breach of the order ('sixth respondent') and therefore in contempt of court. Having read the order in full, I'm not so sure that's the case. However I have no intention to test that.
Walking into any of Merlin's hotels wouldn't be trespass because there's an assumed right to enter. It's almost a public place in many ways. It would only become trespass if you enter an area that's not open to the public, do something that you've been asked not to do, or if you stay when you've been asked to leave.

When the Bear Grylls Adventure opened, there were a few laminated notices put up around the entrance warning against teapassing. There were 3 specific names on them, on being Ally Law (YouTube chap, notourius thorne in Merlin's side) and his two pals.
I may have a photo somewhere I'll post it if Ican dig it out.

I suspect it's the exact same notice they have up at the other attractions. When the Bear Grylls Adventure opened, there were a few laminated notices put up around the entrance warning against teapassing. Ah didn't realise they had them elsewhere. There were no other such posters at the attraction, only those with his name on.I suspect it's the exact same notice they have up at the other attractions.

I think all merlin parks have the notices up now.
Towers have loads of them. If you drive past from Alton village you will notice the little signs on every single gate and entrance, even the ones that haven’t been used in years. They then have the full sign at the parks main gate, and then at the entrance by the turnstyles.
I noticed the signs stuck to the window at the London attractions as well.

Some pictures from Theme Park Guide from the closed season.
The state of this track. Merlin Entertainments, second only to Disney ladies and gentlemen.
You sure it's not supposed to be like that, as part of the theme?
