Right, finnaaaaally think Ive cracked this stupid session ID bug thing that was screwing up the first load of the site and then the login form.
Can everyone try again for me? (Usually you have to completely clear your cache to trip the bug, as the session ID works OK after the first page load).
Thaaaaanks

Erm, I've had this problem for a few months now, but I haven't reported it.
When I want to embed a YouTube video, the icon for the embedding of a video onto a post isn't there (Yes I was using the proper reply, and not Quick Reply). It's not a big deal, it was just a nice thing to have.

You just paste the YouTube link into your message and some of Joel's wizardry makes it embed automatically.

It's been a while since i've posted, or even visited TowersStreet in genreal. I'd just like to give the TS team a big high-five!
I remember when the forum and site were first up, there was hardly anything but now there's a dedicated website full with features and infomation and I can tell that sweat and dedication has been put into it. (Thanks to the TS whip no doubt)
Keep up the great work, and i'll try to post more.

Not sure if this is worthy of a new topic so thought I'd post it in here. Has anyone else found the forum really slow and unresponsive at times over the past couple of days? Pages are taking longer than normal to load. And sometimes when clicking on links to topics etc or when refreshing the page nothing happens and I have to click again. All other website I use are running at the speeds they normally do, it's only TowersStreet where these problems are occurring.

Hmmm I could do with a bit more information to work out what the issue is.
If you notice a page loading slowly, I could do with the information about the link you're looking at, and the information about the page load time at the bottom of the white box on the page.
It looks something like this at the bottom:
That tells me exactly what's being slow. Otherwise I've not noticed anything myself nor had any other reports about slowness to date :/

Hey hey. Not sure if this is just a one off glitch, but the new alerts thingy at the top of the page has warned me that Ben quoted a post of mine where in fact it was actually Fredward that last quoted a post of mine.

The random words become underlined and then there is an ad which will probably send me a virus of some sort...
This appears to be adware installed on your PC known as "Browse to Save". A quick Google brought up this link which gives you information on how to remove

Regarding the smilies, would it be possible to change the shortcut for 8) from an 8.) (without the dot) to something less problematic?
Quite recently its meant that lists have to be edited after posting as the smilie replaces the point number - a small trivial thing, but hopefully i'm not the only person to have encountered this.
