Junket (noun): Attend or go on a trip or celebration.

Thursday, 17th to Sunday, 27th April 2014 (i.e. 10 nights)

It's our fantastic Most Wanted Junket 2014! This amazing meet will be in the form of a road trip across France and Germany. Car after car of sheer fun, junketing, excitement and, ermmm... bratwurst! Or maybe a croissant or two. Want the low down? Read on!

Final confirmed Itinerary:

Thursday, 17th April: Travelling Out/TST+ to Phantasialand
A choice on this day to either travel across the English Channel using car ferry from Dover to Calais or the Channel Tunnel from Folkestone to Coquelles. Following this, you'll need a hotel en route, with a range of hotels in Liege, Belgium perfectly situated midway between Calais and Holiday Park. Please note, the group won't be officially meeting until we rendezvous at Holiday Park around 10:30am on Friday morning, however: TST+ option: Some groups will be visiting Phantasialand today, and will be crossing the channel the previous day. Accommodation for this option is at Hotel MATAMBA, Phantasialand.

Friday, 18th April: Holiday Park
Leaving the hotel at 8:30am, we travel to the town of Hassloch. Nearly a full day to experience a selection of rides and attractions, including the highly renowned Expedition Ge Force and the new coaster for 2014 - Sky Scream! Leaving the park at around 5.00pm for the 90 minute drive to Rust in Germany. A quick game of 'Spot Sylvia' takes place before our arrival! Accommodation in Rust can suit any budget - with prices ranging from around £18 to £60 per person per night - depending on whether it's a basic Tipi, local B&B or resort hotel at Europa-Park. Take your pick! Everyone will be able to get settled, as we'll be based in Rust for 4 nights. We'll be spending the evening in the resort bars and restaurants. On this date, some people are visiting Walygator Parc in stead of Holiday Park, so you can pick which park you visit!

Saturday, 19th - Sunday, 20th April: Europa-Park
Two full days of rides, attractions and shows at one of the biggest theme parks in the world - Europa-Park. It's Easter Weekend, and there's plenty of special Easter events taking place. The park opens from 9:00am, although guests staying at the resort hotel can access selected rides from 8:30am. Whether you've a preference for Wodan, Silver Star, Blue Fire, Eurosat or Euro-Mir, there's something for everyone. New dark ride/rollercoaster attraction, Arthur in the Kingdom of the Invisibles, ensures lots for return visitors, too!

Monday, 21st April: Tripsdrill
After breakfast, we leave Rust at around 8:00am for the 2 hour journey to Tripsdrill, one of Germany's most famous smaller family theme parks! Home to several rollercoasters, including the new-for-2013 launched rollercoaster from Gerstlauer. Indeed, this park has a special relationship with the German coaster manufacturer, and has 3 of their models - including a woodie and bobsled ride! We'll have a full day here, before returning to Rust for the evening.

Tuesday, 22nd April: Europa-Park
A lie in or an early start for more rides - it's up to you! A final day on park at Europa-Park, to get in those last rides - before departing at ride close for our next port of call. A 2 hour drive down another AutoRoute takes us to the Ibis Hotel at Besancon Marchaux. Parking at the Besancon-Champoux service area, crossing the footbridge takes us to the Ibis Hotel. Rooms sleep up to 2 adults and payment is taken on arrival.

Wednesday, 23rd April: Nigloland
Leaving our hotel on the motorway at around 8:00am, we drive to the village of Dolancourt, around 2 hours drive. Here, we have a full day at Nigloland - one of France's most popular smaller theme parks. Home to several rollercoasters, including an indoor Mack coaster and a brand new-for-2014 Mack Mega Coaster! After the rides close, it's a 2 hour 15 minute drive to Disneyland Paris, where we'll be staying at the Kyriad Hotel on a B&B basis. This hotel is one of the resorts partner hotels, and can be booked on the Kyriad website: http://www.kyriad.com/en - if you'd rather stay in one of the other Disney resort hotels, these can also be booked, although prices are much higher. The evening will be spent at Disney Village, who's for a Tarte Flambée and beer at King Ludwig's Castle?

Thursday, 24th April: Parc Astérix
Leaving our hotel at Disney at 9:00am and heading north, it's a 45 minute drive to France's second biggest theme park - Parc Astérix! Home to some of the biggest coasters in Europe - including the monstrous Tonnerre de Zeus wooden coaster and the beautiful Oz'Iris B&M Inverted coaster! This park combines some crazy humour and equally crazy rides for a fantastic day out. Following our day at Parc Astérix, we'll have a 45 minute drive back to the Kyriad Hotel at Disneyland Paris. An evening meal in Disney Village, and some time in the resort bars!

Friday, 25th - Saturday, 26th April: Disneyland Paris
After breakfast, it's on to the rides and attractions of Europe's most popular theme park resort - Disneyland Paris! From Tower of Terror to new ride Ratatouille - there's loads to do! With late opening hours and a range of food options, it's going to be an amazing way to end the trip. After dark, there's Disney Dreams and of course, Disney Village for that nightcap!

Sunday, 27th April: The Way Home
After breakfast, it's a 2 hour 30 minute drive back to the Channel Tunnel or Car Ferry terminals at Calais/Coquelles, before the drive back home.

PRICE:
Please understand that prices fluctuate depending on current £/€ exchange rates, but the following are an approximate guide based on past experience and are based on 4 sharing a car, channel tunnel crossing rather than ferry and maximum occupancy in hotel rooms:

Price based on staying in resort hotel at Europa-Park including all tickets, tolls and travel:

Re: TST's Most Wanted Junket: Europe 2014

Should be good and will hopefully be a part of this. I may not do the full itinerary though, in favour of a more relaxed trip across the continent

I'm hoping to go, and likely to chop Disney off the end as I can't afford it being a poor student and all. Also might swap the 3rd day at Europa for a trip to Holiday Park or the Rodelbahn too! :D

TST's Most Wanted Junket: Europe 2014

I'm sure this comes as no surprise but I am definitely up for this trip. Especially as it includes new parks :)

Re: TST's Most Wanted Junket: Europe 2014

Six parks in succession? Sounds like madness but it sure looks like a great time.

*Starts Saving* ;D
