its been 45 mins since their last response, maybe they thought fk it and all gone home, or down the pub
I thought they would have a copy and paste reply. Something along the lines of.Their attitude on social media stinks too. Absolutely appalling.

Its not. Its ridetimescouk being broken.According to the resort app Wicker Man is now open, with only 15 minutes to spare before queues close.

Most I've seen is the chain moving very slowly for 5. Minutes round 11, nothing else, think they were planning on it opening as they gave me and 2 follow VIPs the timeout cards.Ahhh okay that makes more sense, I thought it was a bit weird them opening it at the last minute.
I think I recognise the people in this video from one of the photos a few pages back in the thread.
EDIT: here's the photo:
It might have helped if they weren't saying to people thinking of travelling this morning that they were expecting a full ride offering.I feel for Alton Towers plenty of weather warnings again yet they get slated for ride closures
Doesn't happen every year but it's not that uncommon.I dont think snow over Easter is typical though....
Merlin's lack of planning and preparation for the poor weather has been the issue.
And it's a good thing they did, because if Smiler had been built this year, then it would be in a seriously bad position with regards to construction. It probably wouldn't have opened until June or July had it been built in this sort of weather! You could argue the opposite. They planned to get Wicker Man finished early so not to get caught out by any bad weather at the start of this year!
