X-Sector Developments (Including Oblivion)

They won't reduce anything. The park T&Cs clearly state that they have no obligation to actually have any rides open at all. They can close any ride they want, at any time, for any reason. And they have no obligation to refund or reduce your entrance fee.
Of course, if anyone mentions the lack of Oblivion, they will simply bung 'em a few fastracks and carry on not giving a smeg.

The Girl I spoke to seemed unsure but she did say the entire X-Sector
I am going to call closer to my booking and if X-sector is shut I hope they will give me a discount as it will make other rides a lot busier.

They were ALWAYS going to, since Towers had no intention of opening X-Sector for Half Term in the first place...

What about all the staff members that work on that side of team south? They only have one ride outside Xsector this year which is Hex, they really going to tell them that they aren't starting until April? When I know some of them have already had their welcome and have start dates for the 1st of March if they are coming back for opening day? It will just be little bits left to do on the ride and the track should be up, don't worry!

That's what I was about to mention.
If anyone complains staff will only go over the T&Cs and if there is a customer that causes up a real fuss (you always get the "well that's not good enough, all rides should be open, I want to talk to the manager now, this is disgusting" blah blah blah...) they will just (as above) get free Fastrack, or a small discount of some description.
Although the staff on the phones may have been told to say that just as a precaution on the parks side. If they say they will open it and do not due to H&S there would be more outrage come March. By saying it will be closed they are playing it safe.
If the actual track is fully built by March there is a more likely chance of parts of the area opening up, with at least Oblivion opening. Although it seems like they are unsure at the moment of whether this will be done or not.

But James why would they be telling staff who work in that area to start on the 1st of march if they are aren't working Feb half term? Their would be no point in telling old and new staff members to start then if the only had Hex on their line up for that side of Team South? I know a few of the old ones could be used to train the dark side of South up on CCL attractions but that wouldn't be enough work until April. Plus why would new starters be told to come back at the begininng of March when priority in coming back would be given to staff who were already trained up on Hex if X Sector wasn't to open?

I'd be very surprised if Oblivion doesn't open in March, if not the rest of X Sector. It's still a headline attraction at the park, and a money spinner in terms of ORPs, video and other merchandise. They'll surely just feed down a path of construction walls under the lift and down the hill if needs be.

Plus, the scaffolding around the station suggests that it is getting a facelift too, which is excellent!
Nice to see the oblivion logos in bright, new orange. That you can see them from the air tells you it's going to look shiny!

There's only 2 things left that I hope they're going to do:
1) Clean up X-Cite and X-Sell's frontage so they don't stick out
2) Clean up all the concrete and fences around the drop zone. Hopefully they'll clean all the cable fences up a bit to get the rust off the wires. A rub over with some emery cloth should bring them up like new
There are a couple of other bits I'd like to see done. Like the under floor lighting in the Oblivion entrance archway repairing/replacing, and the upper mister ring reinstating. But they are all really minor things which aren't doing any major harm. I'd love for them to sort everything out, but the area is looking set to be amazing next year, so they can be forgiven for the really small picky things

I'll probably be murdered for saying this, but I quite prefer it in orange. It provides a nice contrast to the surroundings, including the colossal, dark Oblivion looming over it. After all, orange is in Oblivion's colour scheme, and Fried Chicken Co. has lots of orange bits on it. It's not like they painted it hot pink, or lime green which would really stick out and look daft. They kept it in line with the surrounding palate and provided some relief to an otherwise dark and grey area.
