Towers Loving Care

Great to see some proper maintenance happening across the park, but I can't help but fear Nemesis will end up with a repaint along the same quality of that of Splash Landings and end up looking a joke.

Have you seen what is going on? The track has literally been scaled right back to the bare metal! It is going to look great - it's a pretty major re-paint!

I'm Really excited to see the results when the park reopens :)

Any photos of this?

I just hope the smiler track's being done. It was much worse than nemesis.

I doubt The Smiler is having a full track repaint. Nemesis' track was in a really, really bad way as it hadn't been touched in a long, long time.

Will hopefully be able to get some photos soon.

Now this is really good news! A enemy re-paint? Finally! Personally I don't mind if the track is "gleaming white" Its the supports that represent the monster being pinned down anyway. Its not like the creature is going to get rusty is it? Plus it will age over time anyway!

Just nice to finally see tome maintenance going on at the park!

:D

There is work going on with the Nemesis station - but I get the impression that a full refresh job would cost almost as much as the original construction itself.

I guess it's a steady progress pattern over the next 3 years.

:)
it will all probably be part of Towers Loving Care.

I must admit I had my reservations about the Tower Loving Care, I hope that the repaint of Nemesis is part of the TLC and not just to rejuvenate the area because of Galactica.

If this is going to be the level of TLC rolled out around the park, then please bring it on :)

I don't think the reasons for a Nemesis repaint matter. If it's happening, it is happening. Regardless why - it's being done to make it look better.

:)

If this is done right,
And there is the core of this thread, The unknown. The Past, and The hope.

We really don't know how far, TLC will go. What the budget is per year, what is planned over the life of TLCs.
We look at the Past and how budgets unwittingly caused the slip in the standard of the park.
We look with Hope at what can be, The return to the theming standards of the Golden time of the park.

There are Items on the park that have to be there due to Health and Safety assessment Requirements, By being creative with them, blending or theming them to the park would be the work that TLC needs to be.
How they Restoring Theming back to it opening glory, is one thing we all worry about.

I do wonder why Towers keep interaction with enthusiasts low in respect of asking for our thoughts on things. As we have some good thoughts on theming additions
e.g. We have to keep the protection under Rita's launch section, we have some ideas on what to do with it. Apart from removing it completely what you like to see done?

Oh if only towers would ask us for our help and input. The park would be amazeballs :)

I'd give the park 1 month under enthusiast control before it fails H+S and a whole host of other things and is fined massively

I did not say towers under enthusiasts control. More if asking their thoughts on things

If this is done right, then even I will sing their praises. This really could be the thing that restores my faith in... well, everything.

Well...never thought of you having standards, haha! But yeah, if the station is given much needed restoration then I'll be joining you in singing praises.

At least a track repaint like this shows that they do care to some degree. A newly painted track isn't going to pull in the masses, they could have just painted it plain brown, but the fact they're sticking to a detailed finish to match the original in 1994... that shows care. Care for Nemesis and care for us geeks who notice and admire these things.

That kind of already happens, doesn't it? In the form of this forum which they keep an eye on.

Besides, they're probably too busy trying to manage a business than to care about what altonenthausiast-4eva_202 has to say about that fence that needs painting in the Th13teen queueline because it ruins their day.
