You're photographing the wrong queue, the complaints one is the one on the right, the orange one on the left is for collecting RAP etc. Or it usually is anyway.

Towers have just announced via Twitter as part of Autism Awareness Day, that they are going to be opening an Autism friendly Quiet Room, so that people with Autism can get away from the noise of the park, as well as making ear defenders available for hire. :)

Yeah, I noticed about the ear defenders in the new Access Guide on the website.

Nice gesture but Screwfix sell a set of ear defenders for £3 which were good enough for my son to be able to watch fireworks for the first time in his life last year.

Funny they didn't mention any of this until the Autism Day was nearly over. And they didn't have any Merlin specific branding imagery made up for this marketing message. It's almost as if they only realised that there was a quick marketing opportunity to be had near the end of the day and knocked something out quickly.

They probably forgot, I thought I read about it ages ago somewhere else (not on a map, didn't pick one up).

Typical Towers PR / Marketing team trying to jump on any bandwagon they can [at last minute] to try and look good. Given the way the season has started they need all the help they can get!

As to the reference to BO staff members - I assume this means "Box Office" - but this could equally be an abbreviation for "Bloody Old". Certainly in past seasons some of the staff in there have all but been bussed in from a local old-peoples home for the day. Don't get me wrong, they were nothing but polite (way more-so than the uninterested young lady who served me last August Bank Holiday) but young they were not. I suspect a ride on any of the big coasters would have finished some of them off.

I booked a trip months ago... And now they've released the opening times for the theme park I'm gutted I did 10am till 4pm. If it's busy IV wasted a trip 4 hours down the road.

If the park is set to close at 4pm then it means they are expecting it to be quiet. Although it is of course still not ideal if you are travelling a long way; they really should be publishing opening hours further in advance.

:)
