Anyone have any idea as to where the dolls house scene is? Everyone is saying electric bill but that corner is too sharp for that.
if you look at the walls, it heavily resembles the previous finale with all the zombies

I don’t recall them ever saying they would not do anything. It was only said they will be using some traditional style effects. I expect they have used a mix of old and new. That's the worry for me after they said they weren't going to use it now they just have

It's at the entrance to the lab scene, you can tell from the pipework on the back wall.
Judging by the angle of photo, I'm guessing it must take up the space where the Pillar Demon was.
All the scenes with oversized items are in the following corridors, which have been repurposed from the lab and judging by how it is all laid out, you can start to make some assumptions about some scares they might be planning in this area.

I must confess that this must be the most Easter egg references for any Alton Towers rides with already so much mentioned so far and who knows how many more we might see when more images are seen? Any idea of there being a ride on the park that had this most references to past rides before?

I'd say the set design doesn't look cheap or tacky to me, some of it is cartoonish but you have to remember some of the scenes (not sure how much yet is based in a girl's playhouse so it is going to be fitting.
maybe some of the color scheme shows that this ride isn't going to take itself as serious as the thirteen esque marketing campaign has indicated however I'm not concerned of the quality of this ride yet.

I originally planned to avoid spoilers fully before riding, but seeing as these photos were plastered all over my Facebook page when I opened it and seem to be coming at me from every angle, that approach was quickly stymied… I’ll still stop short of watching a POV or taking in any in-depth reviews when it opens, but seeing as catching glimpses of these photos seems pretty unavoidable and they do only show a very small snippet of the ride, I may as well cave!
What’s been shown looks excellent, and certainly makes me excited to ride in 12 days’ time!
in the recent press release? Or am I wrong there?

From what’s been shown so far, it’s almost giving me a voodoo-type vibe, which could be very sinister… that scene with the doll pinned to the board looks very much like a voodoo doll, and that could be quite scary.
There are also a phenomenal amount of Easter eggs!

The press release by the divisional director states that visitors will be seen to disappear in front of their eyes. How do we reckon that’ll be achieved? I assume this means ride cars in front of the one you’re in will seem to disappear. Mirrors perhaps?

As someone who is off social media and hasn’t had a single spoiler, this thread is hilarious. All I can see is pages of “spoiler” buttons.
Hopefully the excitement remains for some of you who have, unfortunately and unfairly, had the surprise spoiled by other outlets.
Had an email from Towers today headed up by a GIF of Emily…which then linked to a booking page for tickets.
How very fabulous.

It's more likely to be you disappearing, like in Tower of Terror at DLP - unless the ride system has had a pretty major overhaul, any effects relying on being able to see the car in front wouldn't be experienced by every rider, as the gaps are variable

I'm really hoping they haven't gone down this route. All I've seen so far are projections and no old school effects or moving props yet.

This is likely very early concept stage planning as a proof of concept, unlikely to be final offering for whatever it is.

I'd be happy if they just stuck different props on the old mechanisms if they are to only use projections. That John Burton seems a nice chap but the rides to his name (albeit better than the ones to mine) don't fill me with confidence, hopefully he's nailed it this time

In the teaser picture with the “wretched creature” sign, it’s pretty clear there’s a disfigured doll on a jump scare mechanism. Yes there will be projection mapping etc, but there’s certainly evidence of jump scares remaining as well
