Probably another uncommissioned project. Alton Towers can't stop enthusiasts from doing viral work for them.

no they can't but if someone from the project asks them to close the twitter as it may ruin their story it's common decency to close down the account.

Just because a company can't force you to do something, doesn't mean you have to be a dick and continue using your pointless twitter account,

the other accounts are still around only Miles is gone. Which is the one we suspected being fake.
 
I have just read through the two other accounts of Trisha and Danny, it's quite strange, how real they seem. Yet at the same time, they are clearly not real accounts! It's hard to explain! But I have to say, whether it's official or not, I LOVE this video/story! It really is very intriguing yet at the same time, completely unsettling! :\
 
I'm loving all this buzz.

I'm confused about something though (feel free to correct me and my errors here people); a few pages back someone pointed out that Trisha from the recent video is/could very likely be the same girl from the older video (drawing the logo)? But the new video says the interview was recorded at the end of April? So when was the older video from? Or is it not the same girl?
 
The older video was leaked, so the better question is when should of been released?

I think the videos have been produced at the same time, then lined up to be released. The logical order is interview, let the twitter account for her show her going a bit weird. Then the leaked video showing her in the hospital setting.

I like the way Alton Towers, have worded the release of the video on their FB page.

It is almost like they put it out there to get comments etc before releasing the link to the GP. I am liking this marketing.

Love how Alton have been able to post the video on their accounts and make it come across that they're not the ones behind it. It isn't spoiling the tone created and yet still gets it too the masses.

I would say that its rather obvious that they're the ones behind it, its quite cringe-worthy IMO, it's up there with "recent restoration works uncovered.........." very obviously fake an actually a little patronizing. Love the video though.

Just now watch the views go from 1,000 to 100,000 overnight...
 
I posted the video on their wall yesterday and asked them directly if it was there doing to which they replied:

Alton Towers - Hi Liam,

thanks for sharing this video with us... no we haven't seen it until now but thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Maybe they are 'playing dumb'? Wouldn't they ask it to be removed if it wasn't official? Or at least not repost it to their own official facebook page?

I think that's exactly what they're doing, and it's only going to make this kind of marketing all the more successful :D
 
Well the Get Corrected video that was published on Vimeo worked for this company http://www.tbwamanchester.com/ And soon later got removed.
Maybe this video is real marketing for Towers.

If it wasn't official Alton Towers would have been into contact with the user of the YouTube account to remove the content. If it wasn't official it would of been taken down by now. What do you guys think? >:D
 
I would only really pay heed to things posted by Alton Towers or closely linked to the original video itself e.g. the 2 twitter accounts that have been set up for weeks.

When these things pop up pretenders try and get "in on the game" - take the Dr Kelman twitter account for example.
 
Although these extra things popping up are probably dumb ass enthusiasts it could also be part of the 'campaign', by setting up a trail of deleted things to make it look like a cover up of real events etc etc along with the storyline they are creating.

Probably not or they'd have done it ahead of time, but just a thought.
