I went on it the other day as was sharing a boat with a lady and her son. They both stood up going past the waterfalls, it just seems like a natural thing to do to avoid getting wet.

Tried to get on it today for the first ever time, but it broke down after i traversed all the way across from Dark Forest. Came back a few hours later but it was on a 45 minute wait and i was shattered by that time.

I was at Towers today as was suprised that some other guests weren't even aware that Nemesis was closed. I was behind a group of teenage lads having a great time on the Runaway Mine Train. When they got off they were making plans of what to go on next. They made their mind up to go on "Nemesis...

Which is ironic because he was a genuine "leaver", as opposed to Boris who really wasn't.

And an addition to my earlier post I traipsed across the valley (exhausting) to get on Sub Terra for the first ever time - and that's just broken down too! Think I'm going to give up and get a Gregg's to cheer myself up...

Not a great start to the day here at Alton Towers. Smiler, Galactica and Spinball closed. Jogged to 13, now stood in the queue for Rita which has broken down..... days like this.....

You could make a decent living by waiting in the queue for all the rider's pocessions to rain down on you and then sell them on Ebay..... (Joking of course!)

That's a good question. And one i really don't know the answer too, You would think that the coasters would be prone to being struck being metal. Or perhaps they're earthed like a lightning conductor in some way?

An Alton Towers thread and people are complaining about the LACK of queues? Really??!!

Indeed they are, but they would've have to pay a lot more to that they do to make it worth working there given the transport costs. I love the place, at one time really wanted to work there, but could get nowhere near making it work financially.

There's always the option, but it's not the easiest place in the world to get to, especially if you're young and don't have transport. I once thought about getting a job there because i love the place, but the cost of transport made it a non starter.

I've only been on quiet days this season and it's been walk on almost everytime. Did it 7 times on Wednesday in less than an hour.
