I heard EP maps come to life, like huge 3D mapped things, and you can interact with all the surroundings, and little fairies are going round on the rides, and blue fire makes cute little noises as it goes around.

You can find magic 3D maps at Europa, but they tend to be hidden inside chess sets and end up getting you into perilous adventures miles underneath Schloss Balthasar.

Hotel Resort: 2015 changes!

Restaurant Don Quijote
A heavily changed menu and layout of this restaurant, the oldest in the hotel resort. New help yourself salads, front cooking in front of the guests and much more.

Restaurant Castillo
No longer a standard buffet restaurant - although it could well remain all-you-can-eat! Meat will now be brought direct to your tables and carved before you.

Hotel Colosseo
Finally - with the addition of air conditioning to all the rooms, Europa-Park resort now offers 100% air conditioned accommodation for all guests! Plus - newly renovated bathrooms in the hotel for 2015!

The amount this place must spend on their park is mind boggling.

It's also how you become the world's most respected theme park.

Personally, I think it's really good that Don Quijote is being changed.

It is one of the better value restaurants in the hotels - but after Bodega (next door) was completely re-themed, re-styled and the menu revamped for 2014, the main part lost some of its appeal.

Also, the restaurant in Castillo Alcazar I absolutely love in terms of décor, but it is probably the least appealing buffet out of the 4 buffets. So a change is welcome!

I'm a bit surprised by how pretty much the entirety of Euro-Tower's platform has been cleared, which gives more evidence to the possibility that it's going to get an extensive refurb. Don Quichotte's practically been gutted, and it'll be interesting to see what it's going to turn out like once it's all done. The work outside Seerestaurant and in Italy seems to be largely cosmetic.

Wow, there really is some pretty major work going on! They've certainly not taken their time in getting going since the park closed, good stuff.

As far as I know, those are the kitchens of DQ. Not 100% though.

Truck loads of renovation happening though!

Columbus Dinghy has been entirely gutted!

Yeah it looks like the kitchens, you can see the extractors still in place. I am amazing by the amount of work they are doing!

I know it's impossible to predict 100% but does anyone have any idea how busy the park is likely to be on opening weekend (28th March)? I've noticed it's German school holidays too so potential crowds are a concern :/
