Given up on the galactica competition :(. Last challenge seems a little unfair really.

really don't think I have much of a chance of getting to John Lennon airport for 3pm tomorrow :(

That isn't the last challenge, it is a separate bonus challenge for an instant win to be one of the first to ride.

Challenge 6 will be announced shortly
 
I had a dream that I went on Galactica last night. But all they had done was turn the seats sidewards. Not even backwards... SIDEWARDS!!!
 
Interesting hearing what the chap from Figment Productions had to say in that video actually, very promising stuff. Of course he's bound to be positive about his product but he wouldn't just make up that Wardley thought it was a brilliant experience.

I am really looking forward to trying this out!

Honestly wouldn't put it past merlin. I genuinely believe they will do this at some point on one of their rides :rolleyes:
 
If John Warley really said that, and if he wasn't just being polite, that's one he'll of an endorsement.

That guy really knows what makes a great attraction. Too bad that later in his career his vision was watered down by the Merlin money men and marketing gurus. The project on which he had the most creative control remains awesome to this day.
 
Seeing as other members as using the forum to get votes from their respective school, I may as well too. I'm well acquainted with several of the students in the other school and the school doesn't really ever get to do school trips due to teachers thinking it's too much money. Winning this would take money out of the equation and, let's face it, how can you get a class more inspired to learn something after "flying through space" on Galactica? :)

So, if you fancy, tweet "I vote for #teamalder #WeAreGalactica". It'd mean a lot to me and the students!

Oh God I hope this trend dies soon.

This could turn out to be one of the WORST inventions in terms of coasters we've had in a long time.

PEOPLE SPEND THEIR WHOLE DAMN LIVES LOOKING AT SCREENS!!

THEME PARKS ARE FOR FRESH AIR, BEING SOCIABLE, ENJOYING WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, AND HAVING A PROPER REAL DAMN DAY OUT!!

STOP. THIS. CRAP. ALREADY!

Did you fall out of the wrong side of the bed today or were you pushed? :p

There's 'looking at screens' and then there's a multisensory and physical feeling to looking at a screen.

It's just another evolution in ride design encompassing a new and relevent piece of technology.

These are rollercoasters not cinemas. Anyone who thinks this wont make some parks lazy are kidding themselves.

Now, adding the see through ones that AUGMENT the reality, that's a WHOLE different ball game.

But strapping a damn PHONE TO YOUR FACE whilst you're on an intense thrill coaster (I think it may actually suit air, by the way, for those who want to try it) just seems to be completely and utterly to miss the point.

Stay at home and get someone to push you around the damn living room on a chair and save some money.

For the record, I always get out of the same side of the bed, which I why I am generally consistent in my rage on here...:D

Damn, I was going to say Diogo will like this, but he beat me to it.

Is there any chance the mods could install something that when TheMan & Diogo both post it automatically likes each others posts? ;)
