I have thoughts thinking Sharkbait Reef will close, Not because of budget cuts because of the noise from SW8.

Sharkbait Reef could be fine though, There was no signs of closure on the last day of the season.

I'd be very disappointed if it did close; I do like walking through it. It's good for letting the wet weather pass as well.

As far as I'm aware, the groundwork on SW8 hasn't cause a problem for the Sealife. There are ground sensors in place to monitor the situation. So if the ground work hasn't cause a problem, so the operation of the ride should be fine.

If they did have to close the Sealife due to the vibrations of the ride, then they would then seek to move it to a quieter part of the resort.

There are MANY threads on this forum where I can't help but think the same thing.
I think this is pretty understandable, thinking of the sealife and what not.

If they do close Sharkbait Reef and not reopen the other TLC rides, then a trip to Alton in 10/20 years could be rather like from about 17:32 to 17:50 of this video:

Disclaimer: As recommended below by @Rick, I warn you that this is a Theme Park Worldwide Vlog.

What difference does that make, just out of interest? Is there some forum in joke that I don't know or something?

I'm going to presume it's one of their Phantasialand vlogs.

Also, @DiogoJ42, "the one with Wuzeball" sounds rather like a Friends episode!

    Bargain tbh.

It it literally just £55 for a park that is open (on some days) 7 hours. You know that UK leading park that will always have every ride and area ready for you to visit (aside from days when some areas open hours late) - with outstanding entertainment... (or no entertainment). That great park with all that TLC to it (oh wait, they aren't doing it this year?! - oh.).

Yeah, £55. Sounds like thats an, um, financial amount of something.

For a new major ride opening, We should be thankful they decided that they only raised adult prices by £1.

I'm genuinely suprised it hasn't been raised higher. I mean it is a buisness after all.

When my Mum found out about this, she said that we should be lucky that Alton is still open because they are raising prices due to them being in a hard place profits-wise. I then told her that many people think 2017 has seen increased visitor numbers and she said "How much more can they raise the gate price before people just won't go anymore?" which is a very good question in my opinion. What do you guys think?
