Trommel wasn’t working when I rode about 10.30

Probably cost related, they’ve turned it off to save some cash. Must be quite expensive to keep that running all day.

On a serious note why on earth haven’t they fitted solar panels on the roof of these ride warehouses ….

Well, that's great news; at least they will cover that firedoor where the light shines through if 'pitch black' is the new addition for 2025.I believe on days below 12,000 attendance they'll be running the new for 2025 curse: brave the darkness where it'll be running in pitch black, open Monday to Friday between 14:00 and 14:30.

Went in both Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, it had very intermittent availability (down most the Morning). Trummel has not been working both days.Trommel wasn’t working when I rode about 10.30

Dungeons building is getting solar panels added, so it’s a start.

Should have been done years ago - when government were giving grants.
Anyhow off topic.

I went to Towers on Saturday for the first time since March 2022, so finally got chance to ride this not-actually-that-new-anymore attraction, and I absolutely loved it!
For those of you that know me in real life, I’m sure you won’t be surprised to know that I was jumping out of my skin the whole way around the first time. It probably didn’t help that I was sat on the front row where a lot of the effects get closer to you, but as a first time rider it really is quite scary! The story seems much more sinister and creepy than it was before and there’s not much in the way of humour such as the odd silly-looking mischievous monster that Duel used to have, or Electric Bill for instance.
It’s far more stressful, intense and bloody loud as a ride than it ever was as Duel, but part of that might be down to us all knowing Duel like the back of our hands. After 3 rides on Curse I was still getting slightly jumped by a couple of effects, like the hand at the end of the hide and seek section. Unfortunately the trommel wasn’t working but everything else seemed to be doing ok (the fake mirror section didn’t work on the first ride but did on subsequent rerides). The only bit that stands out as being a bit poor is that one projection in the screaming heads room.
Overall, brilliantly done and it’s been on my mind all day today! A real triumph that has boosted the park’s lineup.

That’s great to hear you enjoyed it so much and yes I wish they update that silly projection to a visual of Emily turning into a monster or something it can’t be hard? Just doesn’t go at same goes for the hand at the end to. If I was in charge I would be adding a few bits here and there every year, even recycle some old Scarefest props. Hopefully when the attic goes next year the might get creative?

The doors on the melted dolls head near the end were the only other thing I saw broken on Saturday. Trommel has had the end frame themeing ripped off (as in the wood is splintered) along with not working and the projection are the only 2 things needing a change.
Does anybody know why the words on the walls in the nursery scene have been removed? Or am I imagining they were there.

The nursery door changes ‘nursery’ to ‘misery’ … the nursery being the start of the hide and seek section? That’s never had writing on the walls I don’t think

Experienced the trommel not working on Friday, needs to be fixed ASAP if they can, although I guess they’re not the best at maintaining rotating drums
