[2024] Rulantica General Discussion

There have been mysterious signs of works around Rulantica almost from day one. In particular there have been Portakabins and a work area on the South East corner of the site for as long as I can remember. I get the impression that it’s there to support general construction, so whilst it doesn’t necessarily mean that something is imminently about to be built, clearly it doesn’t mean the opposite either.

Coming to Rulantica earlier in the summer this year, I'd love to see a Master Blaster style water slide come to Rulantica. I think it has potential to be massive if done right.

Wonder if they ever devise a new water coaster style ride they'd be more likely to build it at Rulantica instead of the main park.
That would be spectacular if they did a Water Coaster at the park although it would be more of a seasonal ride unless they find a way of putting it indoors.

The biggest miss from the lineup is a real standout ride. Whilst a water-based coaster would be intriguing (and I could certainly see it being something they did), I think they should concentrate on delivering a water slide that delivers top class thrills, has a decent length and can be operated year-round.

It's probably a good time to reshare the map that was published a few years ago. The plans for Rulantica have always been there, very interesting to see what we have already and we we "might" see in the future. Note the current indoor facility is the smallish orange part with the yellow path around it.

P.s take this with a pinch of salt...

Rulantica celebrates its 5th birthday today! And Europa-Park have announced that for 2025 there will be a new large outdoor pool:

You can also see how the progress on Tønnevirvel is coming along.
Good Lord.

They did a very nice small fireworks show with some flame throwers at 8pm near the outdoor pool to celebrate the 5 years. Can’t believe how close they were to the main pool. Just. Few feet from people. Imagine that in the UK 😂

Wondered what all the construction work going on was. Seemed like quite a lot going on today.

One thing though. It feels really cold indoors today compared to normal, even past Winter visits.

I did wonder when I went in September if there was more going on than just the building being built, so now it all makes sense.

I wonder if this will just be a plain swimming pool or if there will be more to it.

If we look at the phased map of plans, is this the new pool? If so maybe a couple of new slides to come? ru phase.jpg

I apologise as to how small that photo is 🤣

In Rulantica new signage has confirmed the 2025 additions.
Swømmepøl a new outdoor pool with a swim up bar and two 25m lanes.

As someone with no interest in water parks, I was about to ask "how many different shaped holes filled with water do you need‽"
... Then I remembered that's exactly what people at work say to me about coasters and flat rides. ;)
