Watched it again... even as a 'stylized' ride rather than themed, the lack of any sort of landscaping or interest while swooping down massively detracts from the thing :/
Damn shame they scrapped that lake plaza idea. The splash fountains don't even seem right, being surrounded by dirt.

The event admission was at 5pm, lots still at gate getting signed in.
6pm, opening ceremony then the ride is open - closes 9pm with closing ceremony
