Eh? You think in-seat audio is “cheap as chips”??Yeah, no. In seat audio or track element audio. Cheap as chips. There's just no "imagineering".
O…. Ok

Technically, there is both a dispatch sequence and lift hill audio; surely they’re both “track element audio”, are they not?Yeah, no. In seat audio or track element audio. Cheap as chips. There's just no "imagineering".
like the station's internal show sequence,
There's a dispatch light sequence, some music and a projection onto the wings above the station exit (for the train), which fills up with molten metal, to signify the forging of the wings, in addition to a smoke effect. As a train re-enters the station, there's a similar sequence. What's this? I either didn't notice it on my two rides or it wasn't running...
It’s not the most impressive. Dispatch soundtrack, bit of smoke, some lights at the front of the station, and a projection mapped pair of wings above the front of the station where the train exits. What's this? I either didn't notice it on my two rides or it wasn't running...
You are why they don't bother. What's this? I either didn't notice it on my two rides or it wasn't running...
You are why they don't bother.
(I kid, the latter is far more likely. )
Tsk, clearly you are not a 4...Found a video and yes, completely unmemorable so hard to say either way! Also i sat in the same weird row both rides where the seats in front are super close (to the point you can't walk between the rows) so likely wouldn't have been able to see it till we passed under it anyway, by which time it was finished.

Yes it is. Probably peanuts compared to the cost of seats. Some people see problems, others see opportunities.Eh? You think in-seat audio is “cheap as chips”??

I thought that the on board audio on Ride To Happiness is fantastic and brilliantly integrated in to the ride. The way that the Hans Zimmer score builds anticipation as you wait for first launch and then really kicks in as the ride becomes intense is superbly done (and the tune itself is an absolute banger). I see it as being a score that mirrors the ride experience itself with a beginning, middle, and an end, and it really gets the adrenaline going. I’m very surprised to hear that you felt it added little.Even RtH, which is themed to music, I found the on board audio added little.
Yes, I've heard that Mack charge just €1 per seat to add onboard audio. Incredible that they didn't go for it really!Yes it is. Probably peanuts compared to the cost of seats. Some people see problems, others see opportunities.
Have you got a quote from Mack that you'd be willing to share? I'm looking to install some in my toilet seat.Yes it is. Probably peanuts compared to the cost of seats. Some people see problems, others see opportunities.
Im still upset that I never got to experience Air’s VR versionY'all are thinking too small. Y'want some true 'imagineering'? Y'know what would make Hyperia more atmospheric, more immersive, more unique?
VR.
Just sayin'.
I've been on Blue fire multiple times recently, and didn't even realise it was supposed to have onboard audio!On-board audio on outdoor coasters usually adds very little unless its deadeningly loud.
Blue Fire's for example, is crap and barely audible.
No point spending all the money on the equipment and getting the music created when it won't add anything of value. Especially when Hyperia is about the height.
Don't need all the bells and whistles to be a good attraction.
