For those who don't know, when they got bored of nuking coral, theysimply scrapped the top layer of contamination in to one of the craters they had made, and covered it with concrete. I've just watched threads for the first time. It's so horrific, why would anybody ever use nukes?

According to this article, during the cold war, the Americans planned to drop no fewer than NINETY ONE nukes on East Berlin, knowing full well that Europe would be screwed by this. It seems it was more important to make sure the commies couldn't have it than to protect their NATO allies.
