Was wondering when you'd post that in here, @Dan.
In other news, there's been a couple of articles on Nuclear Secrecy lately about "can Trump just nuke anywhere he likes?" Tuns out the answer is... YES! The way the security around the bomb is set up in the USA, the president, and ONLY the president can authorise the use of nuclear weapons. No one can override him, either. And of course, the grunts who actually press the button(s) have been brainwashed to never question orders...

The retro TV blog Curious British Telly has a new article: "15 most horrifying moments from Threads".
If you ask me, 15 is not enough.
If you ask me, 15 is not enough.
No mention of the woman clutching a dead baby, oddly.

I had this idea a while ago. Lego design for a Titan II ICBM. Thought I'd share.
And being a Trek geek, I couldn't help but do The Phoenix from First Contact as well, given it was launched on a Titan. (The cockpit glass will be the printed piece used in the Millennium Falcon sets).
Might even get round to building it one of these days.

Here's a book, fully uploaded on the interwebz, full of pictures drawn by survivors of Hiroshima. Fair warning, some of them are pretty graphic.

Nuclear Radiation in the core of the Fukushima reactor has reached record levels. Apparently it's so bad that being exposed for a second is fatal. http://news.sky.com/story/fukushima...radiation-levels-10754023?dcmp=snt-sf-twitter

My one doesn't seem to be available at the moment, but there is a solar rechargable version on the site this thread was named after.Any recommendations on a cheap counter?

My one doesn't seem to be available at the moment, but there is a solar rechargable version on the site this thread was named after.Bear in mind this model (like mine) only tells you the raw particle count per minute, not dose over time, which is the important thing. Other geiger counters and dosimeters are available on that site, depending on your budget.
propaganda.
Thanks
