Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2021 Discussion

Right, but that's true of the drop and turnaround too. Some of the support work done to accommodate the new course is astonishing.Worth noting that it's a little more than a simple re-tracking this time - the new track follows a slightly different line than the original - they've had to design some slightly unusual connections to join up with the existing supports.

They're rerouting the track again now, too? So much work! When are they just going to do the sensible thing and swap it out for a new Intamin hyper?

What they mean is it was the longest section to be replaced at once.Yeah, from the MCBR to the station brake run.
Not sure it’s really the biggest retracking to date, seeing as they retracked half of the thing already?

Yesterday Quality Street was announced as the new sponsor of the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Radio.

Interesting it's gone back to Nestle! Thanks for the info.
It is Interesting! personally i wanted to see Virgin Limited Edition sponsor it but that was unlikely.

Wonder if the Quality Street branding will have been installed in time for Monday?

I am sure there will be a host of GoPro cretins talking to themselves, you'll know soon enough !Wonder if the Quality Street branding will have been installed in time for Monday?

Quality Street sucks. Surely just about the worst box of chocolates out there. Perhaps they will sell a box of them with a BPB / ride themed card sleeve for £8 that would be £4 anywhere else!
Also, there should be a band called GoPro Cretins
Edit: Anyone else having 'fun' trying to book an E-ticket for this week? I've booked one, a couple of hours ago, and am yet to receive the confirmation email. It recognises that I have booked an E-Ticket but when I click 'Claim my E-Ticket' it wants me to upload a photo even though there should be one attached to my season pass info by default, as per last season, as I uploaded it when I registered my season pass.
I've now tried to 'claim' this E-ticket twice tonight and it's yet to come through. Also going back a few weeks, they never sent any kind of confirmation when I registered the season pass. Then I tried to login to my account and it wouldn't recognise my password even though I've never changed it, so had to click 'forgotten password', even though I hadn't forgotten it.
Not sure what was wrong with last season's E-Ticket system for season pass holders, as once you eventually found the link to book your visit, it was all very easy and your photo came up by default each time. What is going on now? I took a screenshot of the order reference of the E-ticket so at this rate I will just have to present this when I arrive, if they are not going to bother actually sending me the scannable ticket itself!

Now you see dippy, if you didn't have a mobile phone, or access to your emails for a whole six months, you wouldn't have such issues.
Because of my luddite tendencies, I went down the corded telephony route.
Nope, nobody on the sales lines, nobody on guest services, nobody on the general switchboard, nobody on the sneaky local route via the Arena, ah well, usual start of season issues.
And if I turn up with a pocket of Quality Street, some bat fastard will still want his share.

So, Pleasure Beach hours are 11-5 this coming week, and 10-5 on Saturday/Sunday. Given that Alton is open 10-8, pigs have clearly flown (I never thought the day would come when Alton had the best hours in the UK not least being open 4 hours longer than BPB) - do we think or expect to see BPB to extend or are they taking it slowly this first few weeks?
I am keen to visit but 11-5 just isn't worth the drive - much like I would never bother with a 10-4 at Alton.

I suspect that's because Blackpool and Lancashire are back at school from tomorrow. So, Pleasure Beach hours are 11-5 this coming week, and 10-5 on Saturday/Sunday. Still having issues with E-ticket. Got an email from BPB reminding me to claim it. I don’t need a reminder, I just need them to actually send me the flaming thing, after trying to claim it twice last night and them not sending me it.
Anyway, I clicked their reminder link and it asked me to upload a photo. When I did, it said that the photo was already attached to an E-ticket. Yes, it is: the one they still haven’t sent me! Like getting blood from a stone this

Do you think an alternative meeting place for insurance purposes may be in order...Velvet at 2 the second option?!
Ha! I’m sure it will be ok on the day. I have phone screenshots that prove I booked my E-ticket, just need to get in then sort it at Guest Services I suppose. Might email them later anyway
