Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Icon - 2018 Mack Double Launch Coaster

Is it the same soundtrack as we saw in the promo video in September 2016, out of interest? Would be good if it is, I liked that soundtrack. In all honesty, I never expected this to have much proper theming, let alone a proper soundtrack, so anything is a plus in my eyes! The trains look a lot better in real life.
The soundtrack may not be IMAscore but I’m sure it will be brilliant and a lot more complex than people are expecting from Pleasure Beach.
I’m all for supporting individual opinions but man enthusiasts are picky.

Yes that is one part of a much larger and more diverse soundtrack. Is it the same soundtrack as we saw in the promo video in September 2016, out of interest? Apperently Icon's story is about a Sea serpent which has come out of the earth after being hit by a gaint sword from when a Tidal Wave hit Blackpool.
Sounds familiar...

non IMAscore is a huge plus imo!
They do good theme park music but it does seem a lot of the enthusiast community think they are the only folk able to do the job.

Any truth in the rumour that Icon begins testing today?

I don't think they've pulled it through yet?
I know Intamin still like to do this and Efteling have been doing it on the Python re-track, but are pull throughs still a widespread occurrence? I'd imagine doing one with Icon could be rather tricky.

@Rob They are less common than they were, that's for sure. It depends on the ride and what surrounds it. If you are in full control of the area (ie, it doesn't get close to other rides, attractions, trees etc) then it's less important - but with something like Icon and the way it is, I'd figured that they might - but maybe not!
If you don't pull through, you can use a static clearance envelope cut out. Either everywhere or at strategic points on the track which is easier and quicker.

Yes, I'd imagine they will definitely be doing that at least. And I reckon it will be quite close in places!

I’m no expert on what is and is not required to begin testing, but I do know that as of yesterday all of the ride’s control boxes were not wired in. If this is required before testing begins (and I’d guess it is) then testing starting today might be a stretch.
Having said that, everything is there ready to be wired in, so the actual connection might not take too long.
