Am I the only one not bothered about shops open or even pubs and restaurants? Shops open in Wales today and I have no interest whatsoever. I recognise of course that there will be people that value things like this to get out of being stuck inside for months.
I’ve found over the lockdown that I’ve been spending tons of money and wasting so much time trying to get stuff on the high street in the past. Since lockdown I’ve ordered everything online and it works out cheaper doing it that way then going to the high street and buying stuff I don’t need. I think many people will feel the same way And I do honestly think the high street will suffer in the long term due to this. The problem I have is that I like the high street shopping but where I live it’s and hour and half round trip and £8 for a bus so it’s not financially or time viable for me personally in the future.I've definitely moved away from shopping (browsing really) as a leisure activity, just seeing how much money I've saved from not buying clothes I don't really need. But some stuff is also needed, my brother lives in Wales and I know they've been waiting for restrictions to lift as both his sons have grown and need new trainers, so some shopping is needed.
I'm still. Really not looking forward to my next public transport trip where IL have to wear one, yes I'm excempt but I think dealing with the negative aspects of a covering is going to be easier then risking clashes in public due to not wearing one. With it now being mandatory to wear a mask on public transport in Scotland, how is everyone getting on with their masks? I haven't used one yet but I really should purchase one now for next time I go on the train.

Call me a cynic, but I'm not overly sure that'll go well.
- Rather than legislating, the government will move to guidance instead and rely on the common sense of the British public
Ah, yes - the 'Cummings defence'.It's to stop any government officials getting into trouble again if they're just guidelines.

Boris need to address the nation saying beaches are closed. If people visit the beaches then he will have to keep the pubs closed"The scenes on Bournemouth beach make Britain look like the jackass of the world"

You’d hope he would but unfortunately this is what they wanted so unfortunately they don’t care about over crowded beaches and towns. If they do come out with anything it will be a halfhearted attempt.Boris need to address the nation saying beaches are closed. If people visit the beaches then he will have to keep the pubs closed
