Funny things you've overheard people say in queuelines

Those of you declaring Rita and Smiler wholly rough.

Honestly.

Get out more and you'll soon realise Alton Towers' coasters are remarkably smooth on the scale of things!

Tbh it's biased nemmy fans who slam the other rides as they believe they can't compare. Well here's a fact for those, the smiler IS better than nemesis. Ik the gp are numptys but if they all say the same thing, that the smiler is the best, got to be true right. Most enthusiasts prefer nemesis, and most the gp prefer smiler. And there is a lot more of the gp

That isn't a fact. It's subjective opinion. If you want to go by any form of "fact" perhaps consult the 2013 Mitch Hawker poll in which Nemesis came 9th and The Smiler 38th. :)

Anyway - back on topic!

I know it's not fact. Most of the enthusiasts prefer nemesis. I'm probably one of the only ones in this forum that thinks smiler is better

I don't think The Smiler or Rita are rough but in my experience there is noticeably more vibration on those rides vs fair equivalents.

Before Nemesis queue line opened last weekend the staff member on the gate got everyone in the queue to sing happy birthday. Belated but a really nice touch. :tearsofjoy:

Happy Birthday to who? Themselves?
That's not worrying lol.

Last year when we were in the Wickerman queue I made the classic mistake of saying to the Mrs "don't worry, it'll be just like Runaway Mine Train".

She still hasn't forgiven me.

Is anybody else actually a bit bemused by this Nemesis birthday malarky? Nemesis opened on the 19th March, why the sudden fanfare in August?

Pretty sure it's because they didn't want the celebrations to clash with my birthday! ;)
