- just going back to Air means getting rid of the Portal that they JUST finished fitting with light and sound sequences. It would be weird to completely redo it like that and then immediately scrap it. A complete waste of money that would never be approved. Also going back to air wouldnt make it "fit in" any more [which was never the point of Air or Galactica. Its made in direct juxtaposition of The Beast.]

Haha! I did a degree in fine art too!All offence intended but those fake pictures look stupid and you should pick up a pencil

Turns out, it was even harder to actually create what I really imagined. lol.
But yeah, @Trooper Looper posted the original concept art, and that's what I'd like to see a return to. But only if AIR got its own area with an additional flat(s) with the same thematic cohesion.

Random thought that occurred to me that could allow for a phalanx retheme while keeping the brighter (maybe fully realized Air) aesthetic. It could be some sort of terraforming experiment, potentially using something produced by Nemesis. A little detail I liked from the earlier Monsterverse films is that while the titans caused devastation, the radiation left in their wake fed massive environmental growth

I think it'll retain its space theme but will take on the phalanx branding too. THis is the post I just put in the Forbidden Valley thread, based on a poster seen in the Guest Services booth in Forbidden ValleyRandom thought that occurred to me that could allow for a phalanx retheme while keeping the brighter (maybe fully realized Air) aesthetic. Forbidden Valley: Future Changes?
There is only one ride in that area for those under 1.4. Those who aren't that tall need entertaining somehow.

Oh well, RIP to the only Secret Weapon at Alton Towers without a dark theme.

Why rip.
Is there any real news on anything going anywhere?
No.
Just assumptions ….. but as there are plenty of them they must be happening.

True, I mean, as we all know the rumour mill is in overdrive!Just assumptions ….. but as there are plenty of them they must be happening.
People making speculative videos on Galactica's future, some using actual evidence to do so, others using simple rumours with a pinch of their own opinions which they claim as "An employee at the park said..."
To be honest, until we get a lot more hard hitting evidence for what is in fact happening to Galactica, for now I suggest we all watch this space.

Themed?Hyperia, that well known dark themed ride.
These days, with the massive volume of social media and video posting, the rumour mill is always in overdrive.True, I mean, as we all know the rumour mill is in overdrive!

No real evidence of anything actually happening really is there...apart from the old he said she said somebody took a photo of somebody with a theodolite.

Ironic, isn't it?These days, with the massive volume of social media and video posting, the rumour mill is always in overdrive.
No real evidence of anything actually happening really is there...apart from the old he said she said somebody took a photo of somebody with a theodolite.
Even all the technology at our disposal and all the social media platforms around now, we still mostly rely on the old 'he said she said' forms of communication/decision-making don't we?

Double confirmation comes from broadcast news gathering and reporting, it must be noted though that the sources must be irrefutable and first hand. You can't use somebody else's report as a source for double confirmation, as they could have the same source as you / you're not able to verify the integrity of it.we now just have the silly "Two sources, must be true" theory.
At least this is how it used to be, or how it ideally is applied.

Found an interesting post on Reddit regarding of Galacticas future.
From what Burton and Sammut were saying last week during the VIP event, a retheme is inevitable. However:
-Phalanx wouldnt fit at all. Hell the only solid proof i see to that is the air storage unit or whatever in nemesis' queue, which could just as well be a nod of some kind. Also: phalanx is a very violent and intense ride theme for a coaster that's purpose was to add a calm to Forbidden Valley.
Which leads me onto my point:
The only solid Retheme proof I've seen is from a poster in the Lost And Found. A poster from Mushroom Cloud Tours [the people who own the crashed bus] advertising their new tour route which gets you "closer to the monster than ever before" or something like that. They also advertised their on board virtual assistant "EVE" who is currently Galactica's AI assistant.
What id like to see? On board audio, the tunnel themed, but id like the general scifi element to be kept. Galactica is MEANT to contrast Nemesis, don't forget.

I love the idea that Galactica could be themed around the Mushroom Cloud Tours company!
That way you could keep the space tourism/sci-fi aspect of Galactica, but incorporate it with the disaster zone theme of Forbidden Valley, having the company bring some levity to the back of Forbidden Valley to juxapose the Phalanx, whilst still being thematically coherent with Nemesis!!!

Whatever they do, the ride needs serious attention in the closed season. Some of the handlebars on the trains are covered in gaffer tape, in addition to the peeling decals, decaying armrests and general grottiness of the ride.
Whether it was a well received one, or not, you wouldn't guess that this had a refresh 8 years ago.

I have always wondered what if back in the day if Air had got all it's full theming as planned as I do wonder if we might have still gotten Galactica and who knows how the Oasis theme would have fitted into new look FV.Found an interesting post on Reddit regarding of Galacticas future.

-There have been 2 trademarks filed for by Merlin recently that could very much fit. Eyefly or Skybound. They could also be for Project ocean, they might be for a completely different project. We dont know. But. Idk "eyefly" sounds very close to a tour group that takes you around and shows you somewhere from the sky.

Suprised no one has thought about this idea.

I'm just very interested and happy that by the sounds of things that the ride MIGHT not get a Phalanx/Nemesis Retheme.
