As @Rob said, this thing really is flying up now... And actually looks, really really quite good! That's not to say that I don't think it still has the potential to be absolutely horrific
Anyway, today they have finally started to add the track to the frankly huge and incredibly bizarre looking support structure for the 'Non Inverting Sea Serpent Butterfly Roll' THING! (Does anybody actually know what it's going to be? Anyway, a few pictures...
Seeing that 2nd picture with the work men up there with it, really does make you realize how huge this thing is... And know how crazy that structure is too!

Karnan's structure of sheer doom was completed yesterday, here are some photos from HAPA-Forum's Facebook page:
It looks like the trackwork is now nearing completion. Hopefully that means that we might see some testing before the end of the month!

Agreed. I think it'll come down to whether or not it has Gerstache. Remind me, do we know if this will have OTSRs or lap restraints? The more I see of this the more it scares me. It's either going to be epic or horrendous and I just don't know which!

Lap bars. Not that it's really a necessary question given that it's outside of the UK.

A few more photos of that piece fully in place - and good old Gerst, it doesn't quite fit yet!

Well, at least the Smiler has proven that poorly aligned pieces don't affect the ride comfort after it's finished.

The issue of lapbars is nothing to do with the fact it is or is not in the UK. Cut with the hysteria, folks.
Lapbars are simply not appropriate on some coasters due to forces, clearance and other factors.
If anybody who has been on Karacho would maintain that The Smiler would ever have been OK with the same bars, you're off your rocker.

The photo from coasterfriends.de demonstrates just how mentally crazy this coaster is:
