London Entertainment Resort: All Discussion
This is like Private Eye’s long running gag on Richard Branson’s promises to go to space!
Fair chance that will happen too, unlike this project.

Hey guys, you’ll never believe this. It’s been pushed back again! 2024 with a new chairman...

...can’t wait for all the amazing coasters we’re going to be treated to with all this time to plan!

Shame about yet another delay, but I'm sure this will be the final one, because a new chairman surely means a new direction for the project! There's only one way it can go, and that's up if you ask me!
I look forward to seeing the planning application next year!

Can't help but feel it's just a gravy train for those involved who want to spin it out for as long as possible while making money off the 'venture'...
SURELY NOT???
..reckon they’ve got any jobs?

At this rate, I won't be surprised if it gets mothballed permanently.

I'm pretty sure that happened about five years ago.At this rate, I won't be surprised if it gets mothballed permanently.

I'm not trolling, it's just my opinion; sorry if I'm annoying you a little...OK, now you're definitely trolling. Were you even born when this was first announced?
I was 9 when this was announced; I wasn't an enthusiast, but I still remember it being announced.

Matt, surely you can see that there’s another possible way this can go, other than up?
I don’t post a huge amount on here but I love your posts. I can now sense that it’s your writings before I even look at the name of the poster!
Personally I doubt this will break ground in my lifetime and I hope I’ve got several decades left to go.

Sadly the only thing that'll break on this project is @Matt N's heart when he finally realises it isn't going to happen, after 23 chairman swaps, 12 relocations and 89 date push backs.

In 2024 they'll announce John Broome has bought the site and they'll be opening 21/05/2030 at 14:30. Don't turn up at 14:35 though because you'll miss it.
It'll be a British 6 star resort with Europe's largest ice rink, 4D cinema and real submarines.
I just hope London Resort has an updated asbestos register.

If you look back at this thread you'll see that I was one of the more optimistic people on here with regards to this happening. I will admit that I was totally wrong however, there is not a chance in hell that this will happen now, unless a pot of hundreds of millions of pounds appears out of nowhere which it will not.
