MAP Christmas/New Year Sale

I think I already know the answer to this but..

I have an in date annual pass that runs out either Feb or March and was looking to renew it BUT I have..misplaced( eg probably thrown it out with all other ex boyfriend related stuff) it during the closed season.
Am I right in thinking the only way to retrieve the number off my pass would be to return to AT and pay for the 'lost' card?

I'm trying to decide whether it's worth the hassle of trying to get the number to renew and preserve my pass date, or just to choose the simple route of buying a new one in the sale from the Trafford Center which is much closer!

Thanks to anyone who can confirm :)

I can't confirm, but if I were to I'd just get a new one, to take advantage of the sale whilst its still on.

My wife had lost her card but they just looked her up

ooh that's interesting to know! Did they look it up when your wife went in person, or did she phone? Thanks for the replies guys :)

If you're planning on renewing online, you might be best just ringing the attraction which issued your pass and asking them for the number, they *might* be able to help you out. If you're renewing in-person, you will probably have to visit the attraction which issued your current pass and explain the situation. Or, ring LDC (directly, not the contact centre!) and see if they can help you out.

Thanks for the help :) Think I'll try ringing AT and see if they can help me out, if not I'll just buy one and loose the month or so I had left, it's a bit too far to drive all that way when the park is closed! serves me right really for being careless haha.

:)

Why :(
2 years ago it was £30, then £35 and now £40. It's harder to get my money's worth.
Though I do go to London quite a bit in the summer when I feel like it and I went to fright nights 5 times last year so its still worth it for me.

They clearly want people to buy premium ones!

I got my premium pass this week with a nice visit to Legoland Discovery Centre.

^ Yep, the 4th though.

From MAP E-mail this morning:

Renew at the lowest price for 2013 before the 4th February

Our sale offers you the fantastic opportunity to renew your Merlin Annual Pass in advance, at the lowest price for 2013. You can then collect it from any attraction, at anytime within the next 12 months.

Originally the sale ended on the 31st January, however you told us you’d like to see a payday extension & so we have extended the end date to the 4th February. Please hurry to renew as we guarantee these will be the lowest prices in 2013 & we don't want you to miss out.

They are really pushing it this year.

If weather can delay a coaster, it can delay people getting to a venue to purchase a pass.

I am very tempted this year I have to say, given I am hoping to completely whore SW7!

However, even getting to Birmingham Sea Life is going to be a push this week!

Collect it at any time within the next 12 months...

Will it start from the purchase date or collection date?

The price for the MAP, as of the 4th February is as follows...

£159 - Standard
£195 - Premium

:twirly:

I'm not sure of the 2012 cost but outside of the sale those prices seem extraordinarily high! Even with money knocked off from various promotions! Ouch!

Pretty sure that's significantly more expensive than last year. I'm sure a MAP Standard was around £140 and a Premium around £170.

No they've both gone up by £3. Maybe you were thinking of online prices.

Yeah that's it! So much cheaper online it's a wonder that anyone would walk up and buy these days.
