Movie Park Germany

Star Trek as it appears on the park map. Still no opening date.

Hm. Had hoped that it would open soon as I'm in Germany in 2 weeks but aw well... I'll spend an extra day in Phantasialand instead!

It's good to see MPG's map is still awful. On my wall it looks the worst, even worse looking than Fantasy Island one it's next to. Doesn't exactly inspire a visit.

You have park maps on your wall of parks that you haven't visited?

You know there's an entire legion of theme park nerds out there who actively get hold of merchandise from parks and rides they have never seen.

What, the park I visited in 2015 I haven't visited? Also the map is 2015 and I may have picked it with my very own hand. Also when I suggested people go just for Van Helsing it wasn't based on fiction, it is based on fact.

ETA can you be the one to break the news to Nicole her Oscar needs to go back? Or does it not exist? Either way she scares me too much to ask myself

I do know that. Which is why I don't go on meets.

Apologies for not being fully versed in your back catalogue of posts.

FTR I don't actively collect merchant for parks I haven't visited but sometimes end up with maps for years I haven't been if they are local ones.

Anyway, Movie Park etc. Star Trek is looking good and tipping the balance hopefully more towards good than bad with place as IMO it has a fair few poor rides (Bandit, The rapids there etc) but newer rides such as Van Helsing and Jimmy Neutron (loved that, smooth as well) are making the place better (not including the Simworx Tunnel, that was pretty but poor when I went)

So Mack Rides have offically handed over Star Trek: Operation Enterprise to the park owners.
The coaster is expected to officially open mid-May (there is a press day organised for then) but no date has yet been given.

EDIT: Interestingly the Park in their statement said the ride would open in the coming weeks. While Mack Rides on Facebook said there is only a fews days left until guests can experience the coaster.

Here is a look at the coaster in action:

Not overly fast but should have some good hang time. Hoping that we might get a POV soon!

:)

I know you're not allowed to say anything remotely negative about Mack round these parts, but I would have liked to have seen Premier get this gig.

The ride looks tame at the moment.

Hopefully it's speedier than it looks.

One day you will write a post that is 1) not insulting an individual or 2) not insulting the forum as a whole. But I won't hold my breath waiting (ohh and as a hint lost gravity at Waliby Belgium got pretty bad reviews)

Premier make good enough coasters ruined by a painful restraint, if they sorted that out I would love to see more of them in Europe.

Does anyone ever learn how initial testings are usually always slow? Or does a new year always result in people forgetting this?

To be fair this has been testing for quite a while (since February I think) and the speed does not seem to have changed much. Of course we do not yet know if the launch is at top speed or not. And I've just realsied that the video I posted was initially released in April, so apologies for that!

:)

@Dave I would suggest anyone taking offense would do so only if they knew there was some truth in what I said.

Big fan of Premier Rides, it's a shame we don't have more. Never had an issue with the restraints personally, but fair enough.

Sky Rocket at Kennywood isn't very good. I'm not a fan of the ankle restraints on some of their models.

Movie Park Germany have got a birthday cake for Talocan's 10th Birthday at Phantasialand and has gave us the first glimpse of (what I'm presuming is) staff uniform and a area of the queue line
