Movie Park Germany

The com badges are wrong. They should have a matt finish, not chromed plastic. (To avoid reflecting the crew, a frequent problem on TNG with anything shiney on set).
The cut of the sleeves looks all wrong as well.

And don't get me started on the colour pallet of that bridge set...

And... Star Trek: Operation Enterprise has soft opened today, The ride still looks pretty slow in parts but looking forward to hopefully seeing how it is in the flesh in two weeks time.

And you both fail because there are stairs on the bridge :p
TOS era ships had a step or two, but no full flights of stairs. By TNG the only step you will ever see on set (not counting laders in technical areas) is in front of the transporter pad. And even then, in cannon, that step is supposed to be able to rise and fall as a disabled access lift... They just never showed it on screen (partly because that would involve cutting a hole in to the studio floor).

Trek is one of the geekisms that you have to get right. There are too many rivet counters in the fandom for them to get away with as many errors as that bridge has. The more I look at it, the more I spot, some of the are unbelievably daft (why is the area around the viewscreeen black?) I wont bore you with a full list though. It's not hard to find the original set plans online, or even the fictional schematics of the ship if you are that interested. Even pausing a VHS tape of the show would reveal many mistakes in this bridge.

Some of my friends are so geeky they have a business dedicated to collectibles, most of which I've never heard of...

Yet when I start rambling about fairly well known Coasters they look at me like I'm the weird one.

like Diogo said there's always a bigger geek.

I think it looks like a really fun coaster, nothing more and nothing less. Certainly a better layout than say the Premier Sky Rockets although I doubt the lauch packs quite as much of a punch. A shame about the lack of any theming along the course of the layout.

:)

Took a trip to Star Trek last week. Incredibly themed queue line. The ride is really fun and provides lots of fun hang time moments. The transfer track section is good fun too. The launches are great too.

It's not the quickest but it packs a punch. It's a great addition to the park in my opinion.

What about the queueline/pre-show though?

Also another thought, did they actually pay for the IP? It doesn't appear so given the distinct lack of Star Trek music, which is the biggest loss this attraction has... The NG music for the transfer track would've been amazing...

The queueline / pre show are done very well and extremely immersive. I'm almost certain they have the license as the use an imascored version of the NG theme and the original star trek theme throughout the queueline / area
