I guess most of Th13teen at least was in the woods or behind Rita... Leaving that area fenced off was probably fairly easy to get to. With SW7, people need access round 3 sides of the site - making it a harder site to work with when the public are around.

I may well be wrong but that's how I see it anyway :)

Remember they've already managed to get large steel beams onto the site and in place. If they can do this then there shouldn't be any problems doing basic support and track work whilst the park is still open.

:)

Can I just do a boring reminder.

Topics need to stay relatively on-topic, otherwise new and casual readers don't understand what is being talked about. Although we don't want to be an overly moderated forum anything discussing in jokes or known personal locations that don't add anything will be deleted.

Many thanks

So here come that question. Do we think they are holding off the track until the park is closed?
If the SW element is in the hole does it need fitting first, if so they cant keep it under wraps with the park open. as that unsafe photo taken from oblivion shows.

I think if they are waiting till close season it'll be for access reasons not secret reasons.

Relates to the suggested secret element from TT:

I can actually see this shop with the glass viewing platform rapidly transforming into another shipping container, as time dries up. The project is running late; surely either the theming or the shop will be altered somehow to compensate for this?

The station will be the most difficult thing to alter as the planning permission was granted for its design. Any changes will mean a new planning permission / amendment which takes time and money (plus a new plan will end up on the website for us to see)! Don't worry people!

Whist it is a concern that track isn't going up yet, this time during Spinball construction all we had was a lift-hill for example. Thirteen was much more progressed but then again it could be said that it needed a lot of testing time due to the show element, and there were a lot of restrictions during construction such as access and trees / conservation.

I am trying to keep positive - the scale of the ride will certainly be impressive once it goes up! :D

An access road was built behind the site to allow access of vehicles and materials at the start of the construction phase. So there's no reason for track not to be on site before the season ends. They have the access roads behind the site for that reason, to allow materials like track to be easily placed on site.

Track may be on site. There is a lorry trailer at the bottom of the minibus car park just standing there. It is possible that this contains some track. Of course this is just speculation on my part. I'll hopefully have photos from today online later on.

I'm pretty certain trucks don't stand...I'd say they sit ;)! Either way, awesome news (if there is track in the truck!) things haven't been kept this quiet since oblivion...I just wonder how much can be kept from us enthusiasts this time around?

I should probably have used the word parked! ;) I've just got in from the football now so shall try and get the photos up in the next hour or so!

:)

I would say the track would arrive on flat or low trailers, as placing into /removing from a curtain or hard side would be too much trouble then it worth.

I take it the trailer is a curtain, hard side or container. and at this time of year it could be there for many reasons.

<edit>

Just been on phone with a truck driving mate, he says trailer are park or some say dumped. :D

You're right in that it could be anything! Track won't necessarily arrive on a flat bed truck though, track is quite often delivered in shipping container style lorries. Time should hopefully tell though, I'm sure we will have seen track come this time next week.

Anyway, photos!

One of the staff car parks closed off awaiting track:

The fencing here on the left of the photo is new. The minibus car park is now being used partly as a staff car park, so I reckon some track may also be stored in parts of this car park as it is rather large:

The lorry trailer, could track be in this?

At the back of this photo you can see more rebars that have been put in place:

Now some general overview photos showing concrete pouring, footer placings and wall building;

Work at the top of the site, I think this is just pipe work:

As per usual, all photos were taken from areas of the park accessible to the public. Please do not replicate my photos. TowersStreet have my permission to use them if they wish.

Great photos!

The truck belongs to this company http://www.matthewkibble.com/

It seems they have a fleet of many trucks, but they mostly specialise in staging etc, so could be scarefest related.

Ah thanks for that, I was trying to work out what MKT on the lorry was but couldn't find anything. It could well be Scarefest/Fireworks related.

:)

Throw a match at it, that should help identify if it is Fireworks related ;D

...(Joking obviously - well I hope it is obvious!!)

Look like I have been beaten to it over the trailer.

The MKT area of Matthew Kibble Transport, is based in Nelson, Lancashire. and according to my mate Alec (the trucker) has been used in the past by AT for transport of staging.
