The I Feel Down Topic.

I really wish my wife would just chill the f*** out and calm down, this is like only her third day indoors she's going to be committing murder by next Tuesday if she doesn't adjust the attitude (she has an underlying health condition which means staying in is best), and now it's getting me irritated too.

To all the people calling for enforced quarantine, please stop, you have no idea how difficult that life will be and stop telling me to tidy the house, I'm saving that distraction until June or when I really need it.

Just been for the 20 litres of paint mate.
We are lucky to have two living rooms, two bedrooms and two bogs.
I might move into my back yard.

Enforced quarantine, looking at the key workers list half the country would be exempt from it.

Did they have people who work in petrol stations on the list. How will all these key works get to work with no petrol in the cars
They come under the banner of food and other necessary goods.

Also. I asked my bosses about myself. As caretakers/key holders are not listed. And i fall under specialist education professional that allows delivery of approach.

listening to the "experts" how to deal with your mental heath...
"go out and exercise or stay in and do star jumps"

ok,. yeah thats gonna help

but basically you are screwed and on your own. :persevere:

I find these times are making me more philosophical. It makes you realise who and what in your life is important. It also makes you realise what is not important.

I think when this is all over I'll have a very different perspective on life.

After I posted in here recently just wanted to let everyone know things have cheered up. Have left college obviously, sad to have left without there being time for my situation to improve so I have left with a pretty bitter taste, but I'm happier now. Sorry that everything got to me, but all is good now and I'm channeling my energy into making hats for the Innocent Smoothie Age UK campaign :)

The family dog Billy the chocolate labrador had to put to sleep today.
He was our last link to my step daughter kim who died of acute myeloid leukaemia in 2009 aged 17.

So its been a bit of a double blow in that respect.

However the vets were great. They decided that due to the restrictions they would put him to sleep in the garden area at the back so we could all be with him.
So he passed away laid down on the grass in the sunshine.

My condolences, Delta - that must've been so hard for all of you. I guess the one positive is that you were all able to be with him in the garden when the time came. Probably nicer for Billy as well, I imagine.

I'm sorry for your loss @delta79; have my deepest condolences. I'm sure Billy lived a good life, and it sounds like he died in a good way.

Really sorry to hear that, condolences to you and your family. It sounds like he lived a great life at least and that's the best way he could go.

I'm so sorry to hear that - thoughts are with you and your family.
Know that Billy knew how loved he was, especially with you all being with him as he went to sleep. And he went in a dignified and more comfortable way.
There are no right or wrong ways to grieve, but just keep yourself safe and looked after. Lots of love.
