[The Smiler] Construction Updates / Ride Speculation Part 2 *SPOILER FREE*
Re: [The Smiler] Construction Updates and Ride Speculation Part 2
Thirteen didn't have proper fastrack the entire of 2010 - it came in low volumes of one shots during the summer and that was about it. Sub Terra wasn't on anything bar the premium ones until June.
Imagine smiler won't be on fastrack until scarefest, if at all this year.

Nemesis has 4 inversions (one of which is actually a vertical loop) and Air has 2.

The park has (interestingly) gone from 6 inversions on park to 20 with one ride.
It'll go from joint 18th in the world to joint 4th! For a comparison, Thorpe Park is 2nd in the world with 22.

Don't give Merlin any ideas

I thought the trains would look smaller relative to the track than that. Given that photos completely fail to show the scale of the ride, in reality they must be huge compared to what I was expecting!

I think we've all been so used to the promotional materials (which make the train look small and not look like a train at all) and there have been no close up pictures of the full trains that it's messed our minds a bit actually seeing it like that in action.
Naturally it will be quite weird seeing the real thing on the track.
Doesn't it look great though?! The contrast of the black track against the bright yellow train. Beautiful <3
