I think they are new, and yes I’m sure it’s top stop the train rolling back in heavy rain like it has done in the past.

Did notice the blasts of air on the drop had stopped working again at the weekend, hopefully they get them fixed soon.

I always thought Thirteen took that first turn slightly too fast for comfort, given it is unbanked. Any trims should have been just after the station exit. (Or just lower the dispatch speed a tad).
Of course, this location makes perfect sense if a train rolls back.

Agreed, hopefully it'll be like the rest of the ride now, slow as hell on every corner

This is presumably a mitigation so they can run it in the rain. As soon as the train is on the lift then those brakes close. If the train then slips through the tyres it won't go back into the station

The original setup is very Intamin. Anti-rollbacks? Who needs them.
