So, I'm off to Thorpe on Wednesday. Is DBGT likely to be open or is it still down? I'm still extremely emotional that I seem to be the only person in the world desperate to ride it but haven't yet!

Fingers crossed for you. It's been running fairly consistently as of late.Just one ride on it is all I ask. It's over a 2 hour trip for me

I have trained staff along the lines of that if you have a time given you from maintenance then it's ok to share that with guests, unless you are specifically told not to do so.This is why when I was a ride host we were told explicitly never to state a time to guests...
Just join the queue, mazes open at 3pm. During half term week the queues can reach 2hrs for the Mazes so be prepared, or buy fastrack - although that is often oversold so even those queues can be a killer.Quick question regarding Fright Nights, do you HAVE to book time slots in advance for the scare mazes or can you just join queues as and when you feel like it?

just so you know, the article is about Saw the Ride at Thorpe Park getting stuck on the vertical lift, and riders being stuck for over an hour.Nope. Not clicking.
no, it doesn't; they don't seem to be as exaggerative on this article, probably because it's not Alton Towers or Smiler related!Perchance does it use the phrase "left dangling upside down"?
If you don't want to click, let me hotlink to their aerial view of the parkNope. Not clicking.
