This thing is The Smiler's continental cousin!

Have they made sure that it doesn't stall before fully competing it? I'm sure that they don't want to ruin their perfect record of opening coasters with no problems. ;)

This coaster does look immense though. We're certainly beginning to see what Gerstlauer are capable of now!

I don't know why but something really attracts me to this ride! I really like how the black track is broken up with white supports aswell!

Urgh. Personally I think both the colour and bodywork look awful. A jet/rocket-propelled flying machine with styling cues from vintage road vehicles, painted beige. Beige, of all colours!

Still, I'd love to see Smiler get those lap bars in future. I find Gerstlauer OTSRs are awkwardly shaped, tighten during the ride and sit on what feels like only an inch of the length of my thighs, so they quickly become uncomfortable. These look like they might spread the pressure across a longer section of your thighs.

Smiler will not get lap bars. It's had OTSRs because they were deemed necessary.

The trains look weird but different, I will give them that.

These trains look pretty good! Just found a close-up of the front of one on Airtimers:

The seats look much more comfortable than those found on Saw and The Smiler. :/

Those trains are amazing! New favourite coaster train..... maybe.

Everything about those trains makes me wish we had them on The Smiler!

:)

I'm amazed how unsupported the airtime hill after the MCBR is. It looks like it's just floating there!

Oh I wish I was going to Tripsdrill this year. That looks like an awesome ride, and the lights at the back of the trains... :D

Re: Tripsdrill 2013: Gerstlauer launch 'Karacho' Now Open

The ride has opened today, here are some photos of the inauguration.
Still cant believe the work that has to be done to finish the theming. :/
