2015: Alton Towers Enchanted Village

I can't see Towers paying for a "noise police" squad to patrol the area though. And let's be honest, EP's security are a bit over zealous when it comes to this (not just in Tipidorf, but seemingly everywhere on resort). Even when we are being quiet, we have often been told "It is night time, go to bed!"

They pay for security guards at the hotels.

I doubt there will be that many noise problems with the lodges. The majority of guests will be families. Wouldn't cost much to have security on site too.

Well the hotels have security, so I imagine there will be security based in the bar/reception building. who will probably wonder around the site if needed.

Great advert! Has got that nice little magical feeling you get with most of Alton's adverts.

I like it too, its really pleasant. I do hope that 'The Feelings Contagious' stays on as their slogan. As thats quite nice too.

Yeah i quite enjoyed it, and if the Village is even half as sexy as it is in the advert it might actually be a decent addition (not getting hopes up)

Really nice advert that actually. Like the modified image at the end also. Just a shame that there no chance of it all looking as magical as it does in the advert.

:)

One problem with that advert - everyone is going to turn up expecting a hot tub and luxury accommodation. Then tended to only focus on the treehouses rather than show any of the cheapo accommodation.

magical feeling soon dyes when you look at the tree house pricing 1200 pounds a night i was quoted not including park entry even for 8 people that's too much the only thing it has to offer is a hot tub

£1200? You sure? Pretty sure it was around £800.

True - but the website very clearly splits 'Luxury Treehouses' from 'Woodland Lodges'

If someone manages to get them mixed up after visiting the site and booking, more fool on that person!

8th August
1 night
2 adults
2 children (aged 6 and 8)

£950.00 bed and breakfast for a tree house. (note that tree house are excluded from the early booking offer for some reason)

Looks like Towers are charging for the treehouse as opposed to charging for how many occupants. Basically it then excludes any families wanting to stay in one of them unless there is a group of 8 of them. Even if there were 8, thats still £118 per night, each for B&B !!!

It's expensive but the thing is that is actually on par with other similar tree house accommodation in the UK.

Think the whole british hotel industry is a bit pricey to be honest.

As for £600 for 8 people, that's cheap. Some of the centre parcs ones hit £1200 a night

I agree, £600 for 8 people is good. Its also the sort of price that maybe some families of 4 would stretch to at a push to spend a night in a treehouse for a bit of luxury. But yeah, the UK in general is expensive, especially when you consider what you could get abroad for that money.
